Found some interesting converters on the net:
This one is from Sabrent ---- it is called : Component (YPbPr) RGB Video and RCA Stereo Audio to HDMI Converter Model: DA-COMP
Web-address: Sabrent USA
Looks like device from Sabrent is compatible with PlayStation 2 because it is written in description to it.
Another device called : Component(RGB)+RL to HDMI Converter Model: Part Number:LXRGB it is from Portta :
Component(RGB)+RL to HDMI Converter--Portta
Looks that it is compatible with PlayStation 2 if to consider that it can acccept interlaced signals like 480i for example.

Another video demonstrating XCM VGA Box connecting all possible consoles---if it could be HDMI Box--would be much more better.
The product web-address: http://www.xcm.cc/xcm_1080p_megacool_vga_box.htm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJj1E0FWXMc&feature=endscreen
Video of it in WMV-format: http://www.xcm.cc/Mega%20cool%20vga.WMV

And here comes XCM HDMI Blaster : XCM HDMI Blaster
Connecting Video: http://www.xcm.cc/HDMI%20Blaster_Video.WMV
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUsAK44TehA
What I do not like is that XCM HDMI Blaster can not autodetect if Component Y Pb Pr or VGA signal is transmitted to it ( This device VGA+YPBPR TO HDMI CONVERTER HDV-336 - Playvision.biz at least has input button to choose source. )---like you have all the time use Switcher to choose input signal---it is not comfortable and not nice---eventually Switcher will brake.
And also I do not like that XCM Component cable for all consoles has Switcher---which can also eventually to be broken.

Guys you have to be very careful before choosing Component to HDMI Converter----you have to be sure that it supports PS2.
I found one converter from CELABS Model: HSC20 Web-address: HSC20 - CE labsŪ/Cable Electronics, Inc.
It is said in description that it supports PS2 , also it supports HDMI version 1.2 and can Upscale to 1080P.

Be very careful before buy it----here is Converter which does not support completely PS2 because it supports only 480P from Component input:
Component to HDMI Converter - SW-23652, $39.99 The name of Company is Sewell
Also read very carefully because some adapters can output only in 720P Like for example this one:

You do realize it is completely useless, right? It takes the interlaced 480i/576i, converts it to digital, does some deinterlacing (which more often than not does more harm than good) and then upscales the image? The only pro is the fact that it goes over hdmi, which takes less space than component (but it doesn't actually do anything that modern TV set wouldn't do on its own). The only way to make it actually look better is to either use game supporting progressive modes or use GS Mode Selector (but you don't need these converters/upscalers for that - component cable will do just fine - most of the TVs still come with component inputs). The TV will probably do a better job upscaling it than these converters (on LCDs/plasmas, whatever, the image is always upscaled to the native panel resolution, otherwise you would see just a tiny window on the center of your screen... at least I have not heard of a TV that wouldn't let you set such upscaling, and all TVs I have seen personally had such option enabled by default).
IMHO, it's a waste of time and money, but whatever suits you...

Well, that was a good waste of 3 pages.

ffgriever probably you are right to some extent---but the thing is that i do not have HDTV at home. If I would have HDTV---then probably I would use Component cables, but I dont.:(
But at the moment my ps2 is connected to 21 inch CRT TV. At the same time I do have at home 23 inch 1080P LCD Monitor. It is very nice monitor from Samsung---but I suspect that my Monitor does not have built in Upscaler and De-Interlacer---because If I send to it 1080i through HDMI from my PS3 ---I can notice that picture has slight shiver in lines. Also my monitor does not have Component inputs---only VGA and 2 HDMI.
So I think it perfectly suits me to use such converter to connect my ps2 to Monitor.
My CRT 21 inch tv has component inputs---but it accepts through Component only 480i.
The thing is that i do not plan on buying HDTV in near future---I just perfectly fine with my Monitor. Also Progressive Scan on My monitor from PS3 looks awesome. But I am not talking here about quality of PS3 games---I just talk about Progressive Scan Picture in general---I do really like Progressive Scan. I got tired of Interlace Scan.
The other thing is that I can not buy PS2toHDMI , because I am not sure -- that quality of PS2toHDMI will be really good---no one tested it yet, and no-one submitted results.
So I thought to myself---if to buy PS2toHDMI--it will be used only with PS2--but still it costs 30 Bucks or maybe more if to add price of shipping.
So I decided to buy for myself more professional device ---the one which will give me ability to connect to it any VGA and Component device.
So I ordered from Hong Kong --- Component and VGA to HDMI Converter with ability to Upscale to 720p/1080p.
Anyway I do not want to talk about it yet---after it arrives---probably I will report about quality.
Of course I will use GSM in conjunction with my Adapter. GSM is nice piece of Software. I just very hope that DoctorXYZ in near future will figure out how Xploder HDTV Player works---and will add his Discoveries to next version of GSM.
mrjared123 I would not say that we wasted here anything---I think it is very important for everyone to learn new things.
Probably it will help to some users make some decisions.
Also I know that to some people buy such adapter is very expensive, but lets admit that we live only one life---so lets try everything in life, and I think that 30-50$ bucks for Converter is affordable price for big amount of people---of course if person wants to buy it.
Anyway you can do whatever You like---but I decided to try---because at the moment my the only option is Monitor.
