Hm,... Those examples are deinterleacer-routines (afaik) and the GSM directly sets V-Mode-Output to Interleace, or progessive with registers to the GS.
BTW, I noticed some games display some interlace flicker in 1080i or they display with distortion like Soul Calibur II (like its displaying the same lines twice). PCSX2's GSdx plugin has modes to eliminate such flicker and distortion with options like Bob tff, Bob bff, Weave tff, Weave bff.
Are such options possible to implement in GSM?
So it is a different thing and deinterleacing would consump/gain some extra-processing-power from the PS2 (if the native video canīt be forced to be progressive).
