It's great to know that the 1080P mode does work and hasn't caused any damage... yet.
@reprep: Congratulations! You seem to have come up with a formula that truly works!
I should probably add that the Playstation's (And IOP's) Pixel Clock was 13.5Hz, so maybe it's normal for NTSC and PAL modes to have 13.5Hz pixel clocks.
Unfortunately, my understanding of Japanese is elementary at best.

I don't think that it was ever explained what the A, B, C and D phases were in the diagram at all. But maybe I'll see something different after I reread the page some other time.
I can, however, extend on this video mode testing program, so you can adjust the different fields of all the GS registers without recompiling the program. Would you like me to do that?
From what I remember, I think that GSM allowed you to change the values of the GS registers. But you cannot input values directly for each field, can you?
