Is it true that alot of bsod´s are a result of the ps2 hanging because it cannot display certain video files in 480p? (.pss files perhaps)
If that in some cases is true, should we try taking them out? Or perhaps replace them with blank video´s? But the question is will it not also hang with blank video´s? Or is there a known .pss video with which the ps2 does not hang?
Usually pressing start skips video, but you have to be fast. I need a controller with slow motion (autofire on the start button, like in the Super Famicom days)
I swa this thread, but it is for psp. Perhaps a similar thing can be done with ps2 games.

There´s also mode 4 on OPL, supposedly than it doesn´t play .pss files, but it still plays them when mode 4 has been saved for a game.
I checked with Spectral Vs Generation. the game has .pss files on the disc. When I play this game in OPL with mode 4 set to ON. The video´s still play.
I´m just looking for ways I can get more games to display in True 480p.
