About Xploder HDTV Player
"Lot of times, hdtv will do something weird which I call fake 480p. The 1st frame will be the 1st frame of the 1st 480i frame, but line doubled. The 2nd frame will be the 2nd frame of the 480i signal, but line doubled. This results in what looks like interlacing emulation. This is not real 480p. Although your tv will say it is a 480p signal it actually looks worst and flashes alot, not like a 480p signal should be
Yet this is different from the effect that gsm sometimes gives"
Definitely, this "fake 480p" is the HDTV 480p 60 Hz video mode from Xploder HDTV Player that I'm studying how to reproduce into GSM. Despite of being an interlacing emulation, it is the only (functional) known solution for those interlaced games which results BSOD (despite of sometimes the sound part not freeze) when enforced to HDTV 480p. I just need to discover how to reproduce its method in a similar way.
