GS Mode Selector: Development & Feedback

Any help on running this would be appreciated. I placed BOOT.ELF into mc0:/BOOT/, and HDLOADER.ELF in the same folder. My setup is V12+Crystal Chip 2.0 SLE (running ELF from uLE after shutting down BootManager)+HDCombo. Running BOOT.ELF gives me "No signal" on my TV, after few seconds I get a blink, and still "No signal".

Now, I know my TV can't display certain resolutions via component, which results in me not being able to see hdld_svr, ps2link, uLE in one of display modes, and Alone in the Dark: New Nightmare (which apparently runs in 720x240@50HZ by default, changing it to 60HZ brings me the picture) - they all run properly, yet the screen remains with "No Signal". On composite cables everything is viewable. I can only assume, that GSModeSelector runs at the beginning in the same resolution as hdld_svr, so if that won't be changed, I won't be able to provide the pics from debug screen. What happens afterwards? I also assume it runs HDLoader in pre-compiled resolution (which also gives me "No Signal". I know that 720x480i@60HZ, 720x576i@50HZ, and 720x480p@60HZ runs properly on my setup in games which allow it.

It certainly looks the same resolution as say hdld_svr and uLE.

Download and run 0.2 if you're curious as 0.3 and 0.4 hang before launching hdloader.

0.2 gives the exact same result. Also, uLE by default uses different resolution than hdld_svr, as I can run uLE without problems (720x576i@50hz, 720x480i@60HZ, 720x240@60HZ; the one giving problems would probably be 720x288 (if such one exists), without interlace).

HP 2335 monitor with composite, s-vid, component, VGA, and DVI in. PS2 connected to component in.

BTW, do you want our system settings for component out set to RGB, or component YCb/Pb Cr/pr. Or does it even matter.
I ask this because my monitor will not not display RGB correctly over the component inputs, so I'd need to switch to the VGA input if a RGB mode is invoked.

Some of TV / monitors sets have the feature of displaying the video input (AV1/HDMI/Composite/Component/VGA) setting.
For instance My LG LCD TV can do that. I just press [ENTER] button on remote control and it displays the info on screen (Component 1080i @60 Hz, Component 480i @60 Hz, etc).
From this point an so on (if you would not mind) I would like to be informed about that, too.

Would you mind to let me know about what was reported by your TV/monitor sets about video input settings on GSModeSelector_v0.5 (Cooperative Test - 5th. Round)?

I infere (as I am not specialist) that our system settings should be:
- RGB -> PS2 connected via VGA cable to TV/monitor set VGA in
- YCb/Pb Cr/pr -> PS2 connected via component cable to TV/monitor set component in

Not near a camera at the moment, but it freezes and accepts no input after the first line consisting of the version, author and date.

Tks. I am analying the cause. It is related to the PAD source code. In fact, today is the first one I am learning to work with this stuff (PAD control).

Please try this. I put more debug messages in order to discover where in PAD functions the problem occurs.

If it freezes again, just tell me two last messages ok!

where do i put the files mc or usb stick?
