This is the first I have heard of this "GSM", I intend to read up on this asap. You would have gotten a kick out of my last console, I went a similar route, however I chose to integrate the VGA straight in. I tore out a hole in the side of the thing, and mounted a d-sub right there. This way I could add audio rca's next to that, and I tapped the otherwise unused 5v pin (I soldered it all to the other side of where the a/v jack is soldered to the board) to power the LM1881 sync seporator (so I wouldnt have to rely on sog support), added the 3 220mf caps inline (used axials), and it all fit in the console, so the end resault was a vga port on the console, "sogless". I intend to redo that, sometime in the near future. It was pretty cool. And it didnt require a component cable, and didnt affect the a/v port's function, either. Since native RGB mode is software driven, you still need the composite running to get that far. My current console has a 5" lcd bolted onto the top of the case. I tapped to the same spots on the board, and tapped the psu, ran the 3 cables I used with the appropriate jacks through a big, ugly, hole I drilled through the top of the case, right next to it. Since the lcd is also 12vdc, it taps the ps2's psu, and as I said, has its own tap to the composite a/v signal, it has no effect on the a/v port, which I usually also use with a component cable to my real tv. Now, I can do "chores", and other than real games, while I watch tv, or whatever, and I can use this to navigate to the vga software as well. Oh yeah, and I added a female barrel jack on the back, too, so if I want to, I can use one of those cables that jacks into the lighter socket in the car, to run it all. That actually makes sense, with the built-in (or built-on, as it is) lcd screen. Porta-fatty. Next, the vga port....... I still have that LM1881, so its a go, when I have the time.

notice I changed my rsod sig, a bit. I really wanted to add "You aren't putting anything in me, again. You LIED when you said it wouldn't hurt", but it was too long to fit the frame. Boy, that brought me to tears, when I thought of it, though. THATS funny.

A toxic agent on a dangerous mission so secret, even I don't know what it is, because if I did, I would have to kill myself. I don't even know who's side I am on.
