Problem with ext. HDD

I have a 3TB ext. HDD(FAT32). When I format in Ps3 debug (Format BD Emulator HDD) ps3 is freeze. I can not format.
anyone know what to do about it?

Yah, make a partition for maby 200gb, for fat 32, google it! OR allocate to ntfs about 2tb and 1gb un allocated, and allocate to fat 32,

Also, make sure, you use the right power plug for external hard drives, or ps3 doesnt read, was a bitch to find this out! And ye go to recovery mode and restore file system and everything, these should work. Start with recovery mode, then powercable swtiching then, alocating , CHEERS
