error 80010009 when running backups on dex

I cannot seem to get any games to run using the ps3gen method. I am currently on 4.11 dex ofw, and nothing will work. I have tried games that require 3.6+ fw, as well as ones that only need 3.55. Games that run just fine with multiman don't work at all with the ps3gen method. I've followed the guide exactly, and ps3gen gives no errors.

Anyone have any idea why it's not working?

edit: well did some googling, and it seems it only works if you install an update. That's really unfortunate, since one of the games i really wanted to play has none. I guess i'll need to play that one from disk. Oh well, got my answer at least.

For 3.55 compatible games use Modifed Firmware Builder to add peek $ Poke to 3.55DEX and it should run Multiman and backups or I've heard that Rogero made a pre-made one. But yes ATM 3.60+ games need an update to work.

At the expense of sounding thick, does that mean my exisiting external hdd with backups will work with Multiman on Rogero's pre-made 3.55 dex fw?
Cant find a definitive answer as i would like to move to dex f/w but really dont see the point if i can only "activate" one game via ps3gen at a time (i know for 3.60+ f/w) but is this the case for 3.55 f/w with peek poke?

Yep just use the new DEX Multiman on Rogero 3.55 DEX and you'll be running all you'r old backups the same way you are now.

Can i run the eEID_RKDumper package on 3.55 or do i have to go back to 3.41?

You can run it on 3.55 and use the new multiMAN to get you'r dump for c2d and to flash you'r modded files back.
