    Hi i have my ps3 on dex 4.11 i installed my games on my external with ps3gen but when i plug it in my ps3 notting displayed on the XMB in game help please thank ?

    you sure you have the disc access set to hdd and not bd rom? its in debug settings. set it to hdd and you should be good to go.

    i have it set to hdd but still no backup shows up on xmb in game

    In Settings -> Debug Settings,

    1) navigate to "Boot Mode" and select "Release Mode".
    2) Below, in "Blu-ray Disc Access" select "BD Emulator (USB)".
    3) And below, to use the maximum speed of your HDD, select "HDD Native".

    Shut down PS3, plug your HDD to rightmost usb port and turn on the PS3. You can now see the disc icon. But in order to play games, you should repack a game update and install it too.

    I have all them set up in Debug Settings but even when i shut down ps3 and plug the HDD in the right usb port and turn ps3 on i still get no disc icon, i did repack a game update and install it.

    you apparently did not do something right burning your game with ps3gen. try again
