    Hello ,

I have 500 gb hdd and want to make it for about 20 slots and 15gb per slot .

I used aldo BdEmupartitionTool to arrange the partition

When writing with ps3gen to slot#11 slot#12 and so on it gives error :invalid output format .

I also try inject the emu file with open BDEMU Hdd manager it give me crash when writing to slot#11 .

I read we can have 255 partition , any one have idea how to solve it ?

    Thanks

normally, it can only open 4 slots for BDEMU games. Having a BDEMU HDD more than 4 slots is quite achievement. So yeah, no one had make more than 10 games working on BDEMU drive, in my case I can only put 5 games, inserting more than will crash the program, worst case scenario, BDEMU games might not work on PS3 at all.

Yeah, I got you covered I was a tester for that tool and gave aldo the idea to make it (as I was doing this prior via HD hex editing). Inject and save slot DOES NOT WORK. He has a newer version with inject slot removed but not save slot. Dont use Open bdemu tool its inject and save emu DOES NOT WORK either.

Use ps3gen to inject/save slot/make emu and aldos BdemuPartition tool only to change size, remove/make partitions & rename. Dont use OpenBdemu tool by free play at all, you dont need it.
In Bdemupartitiontool Inject has been replaced with Resize slot to BDEMU size (in latest version) meaning you can make an .emu with ps3gen load it with "Resize slot to BDEMU size" in bdemupartitiontool and it will resize the partition to the emu size (but not inject it) to save even more space. Then after its resized open ps3gen again and inject the .emu to that partition you just resized with bdemupartitiontool.

If you have any more questions just let me know.

EDIT: "When writing with ps3gen to slot#11 slot#12 and so on it gives error :invalid output format." If by writing you mean injecting an already made .emu, this error is more than likely because you made the .emu with Bdemupartitiontool or OpenBdemu and not ps3gen.

Hello thanks for the reply , I make the emu with ps3gen and writing with ps3gen ..
Bdemupartiontool can not write image .
I only use bdemupartiontool to make slot , because ps3gen only limited to 4 slot .
I make slot with bdemupartiontool about 20 slot, writing slot#1 to #10 is fine ,but when writing slot #11 upward give me the error .

Im using BDemuPartition tool ver. 1.05.04 , PS3gen ver 3.30

I have the same problem. It seems that I can only build 10 games regardless of the size. But on the 11th slot onwards, I also get an error and can no longer build games. I also use 500GB external drive.

I had to format my 1TB HDD to test all this as like you both said I ran into "ERROR: Invalid output format" as well when trying to write image from BD emulator HDD Utility from an .emu created in ps3gen to image10, 11,12 etc

I didnt use Bdemupartitiontool.exe at all and still got the error you guys have mentioned. I hex edited ps3gen genelib.dll to accept 21 slots (46.6GB) and then hex edited my BDEMU 1TB hard drive to have 21 partitions. Then tried and still got error.

So as of now there's GOOD news and BAD news.

BAD news: it seems until someone figures out in genelib.dll (or elsewhere in ps3gen) to allow .emu to be written to Image 10 (with 0 image included in count to make a total of 11) and up you'll get the error regardless of program used.

GOOD news: If you use For BD Emulator HDD (direct) instead of for (*.emu) at build output, it will write to Image 10 (i even tried image 20 & 254 would write as well with direct)
(If you were the guy that only backuped your games as .emu, then just rename it .iso and extract it with mounter program, cause .emu is unencrypted .iso. Then rebuild in ps3gen to DIRECT output)

example I resized and tried on slot 15 with DIRECT output (not .emu output) game worked through XMB:

    bdemu2.jpg

CHECK THIS OUT OH MY GOD!! hahaha i wrote to 254 (get aldos BdEmuPartitionTool 1.5.0.5 to properly detect games on high numbered partitions as i pointed out to him during testing it doesnt on previous versions, its fixed in latest version 1.5.0.5)
