4.21 Dex to 3.55 Dex and 3.55 dex to 4.21 dex

Hello guys =]

A few days ago I upgraded my kmeaw 3.55 cfw to 4.21 dex, so I could play Resident Evil 6

Now I can't find a good guide to downgrade 4.21 dex to 3.55 dex...

I'd like to be able to upgrade again from 3.55 dex to 4.21 dex in the future, if another game of my interest comes out.

How can I do this?

Also, How can I setup my External HDD so I can Load all my old 3.55 games and my new 4.21 games?

Go here 4.11 DEX - PS3 Development Wiki and get the 3.55-downgrader at the bottom of the page and install it from the xmb System Update, if it gives an error change Boot Mode in Debug Settings to System Software Mode. About the hdd you can use Easeus Partition Master to format the rest of the space as fat32 to use for the rest of your backups

you can go back and forth at will. Just use the 3.55 downgrader he linked you to and whenever you want to go back to 4.21 just install that PS3UPDAT.PUP. If you make an /updater folder on dev_hdd0 and make subfolders named 01, 02, 03, etc, etc you can store your updates there and just pick the one you want to use from the debug update menu. You can name the pup files anything you want to identify them and they'll show up correctly

This was a CEX guide for the debug updater but most of it applies to DEX - just ignore the QA flagging parts. Skip step 1 and the first half of step 2 and do the rest of the guide

about fixing the 3.55 games the answer is yes and no. If you're on 4.21 dex you can run a lot of the 3.55 games via yuor network using mmdm/multiman. But it takes like 5 minutes to go back to 3.55 dex and then you can just run them there as normal. As someone mentioned you can swap back and forth at will and it's not too big of a deal.
