3.55 DEX PSoN WARNING + need help
3.55 DEX PSoN WARNING + need help –
10-25-2012,11:15 PM
So I have a slim with 3.55 DEX Rogero and I recently installed the PSoN DEX that is posted on the frontage.
These two pkgs were run on the ps3 from the links provided in the post.
Psit_PsOn_dex
Change_Idps_retail_usa
The only reason I did was to check out the store and see if had anything exciting as I have been to it for years. Anyways long story short, I found nothing cool on the store, so I decided I was done with PSN. I went to the website and downloaded the "PSoN_Dex uninstall" package which I then installed and ran hoping it would wipe all traces of PSoN and Change_Idps from my system.
After it ran, it rebooted and bam, I was hit with a RSOD for the first time right before the XMB could show but after the "Rogero" background had loaded . So I figured I could just go to Recovery Mode and reinstall my firmware, but after the two beeps, a black screen popped up followed by the RSOD again. The console did the thing where it goes into 480p (right before RM). Now when I boot the console, the black screen shows up in 480p then I get the RSOD. This happens even when I try to put it into Recovery Mode.
So my question is, do I have a brick ? Is my only solution an E3 Flasher ? Am I gonna have to open the PS3 even when I get this flasher ? Is there a software based solution ?
Also I would recommend no one uses PSoN, or at least their unistaller, as I had never had a problem with the PS3 until now.

Thanks for all the help guys
I ended up just wiping my hard drive with a PC and reinstalling the 3.55 DEX firmware.

You should use prodg target manager, its possible you ps3 was somehow in debug mode or somthing. I just know resetting with prodg usually fixes everything.
