Hi guys sorry for being away for a wile : Life happened.
BUT - we are busy this side working on a new Char.xxx extractor meaning we can repack also.
who else noticed that we can decompress and extract files rebuild them (adding with some editing) but unable to extract the files edited (added) eg: take the bosses ps3UIvs files...how do we know the complete char.xxx gets extracted?
I need to ask this. we freeze on 90 loading when we apply my "start" selection name added to costume menu regardless if the character has been modded or not.
this can be cause we either ignored the unix rules of capitals etc, or simply cause we did not duplicate the files needed like asset, char_ , name.xxx every character has a unique set of files, compairing extracted files indicates this.
where does the loading screen get its information from ? what i mean to ask is when loading and checking files as it loads it compares to the disc - if faulty it recopy the file to internal.
it cant just be in the ps3toc.txt or coalsced.ini files... when i have a complete extracted character we hope that we will have more answers and a solution.
back to the beginning. will be re doing all from scratch i have a feeling we gonna break it this time.
but any additional help towards file reference will be greatly appreciated.
