Like he said, you don't have to make the file compressed again you can just have a folder with the same name as the XXX file. Kinda how I asked the exact same thing to him and he told me in this thread a few pages back before the freddy DLC. So I guess you didn't read all 142 pages like you said you did in your whine/rant. further just adding to the sheer amount of the posts drowning out information. But What ever. Its Cool.

Digital has made leaps and bounds over this. Once someone figures out a way to program a way to automate the hex editing.( texture2d to DDS ) Then things will be more steam lined.
Right now you can hex edit a DDS Header into the Texture2d file. Making it load into Adobe Photoshop so you can edit the Texture Maps of the XXX Files. Then you can covert the DDS File back to texture2d file and put it back into the XXX Folder.

Perhaps you need to look through scorpions mod, in the char select files
he has boss char files which are additions to the original files which means that files had been added... which correct me if I am wrong has nothing to do with running decompressed files I am from the X3360 scene if you knew who I was you would know I'm not some scrub just complaining/whining I am just disappointed in the lack of reversing discussion and the overabundance of leaching discussion and minimal finding sharing, I am aware you can run everything decompressed by modding the PS3TOC file sizes because I have done it with countless 360 games which Mortal Kombat is just ported to the PS3 from the 360 build so naturally the TOC method is included in the port but having decompressed files do not help me figure out how to completely add new additions to the xxx format, if I have missed something let me know...
