Their issue is with my MK2 Ninjas.
So I decided to play around with the ini mesh swapping stuff and correct me if im wrong But,
Source Mapping doesn't do anything correct ?
Meaning it doesn't matter what I place in there cause it serves no purpose.
I could have sworn that on the PC there was a way to do a mesh swap but use the colors of the origional character. I.E I'm playing with Scorpion, I mesh swap with Sektor so I can Have a Cyber-Scorpion but with Scorpion Colors instead of Sektor's colors. This is what I thought the Source Mapping was for. But hten I tried this :
And it still swaps the mesh. I used Stryker, Stryker_B, and Stryker_G as well for the Source Mapping and still the same thing.
Can anybody offer any insight into this :)
I wouldn't know without the ini file to examine.
AFIACT source mapping is what the character is called, and by that I mean how your stats are saved and such. Honestly though I don't know. Retro Ninjas use very strange folder structures so I think a lot of these entries are just to fix that weirdness and aren't needed for regular characters.

wasn't sourcemapping what determined which colors get loaded from a certain char? in other words, certain parts of the texture.
that makes total sense.
So I take it that I have a pipe dream when I think I can use the source characters colors in a mesh swap :(
I guess the easiest way would be to create a DLC Cyber with the colors I actually want and use him for the swap
