gildors extract tool outputs also outputs a file list containing all the exported files. (exporttable.txt)
he also has a tool called umodel that outputs the same list, but with all the file offsets, sizes and export order.
his tools support both big and little endian.
the actual export table contains values for each files start offset and file size.
it can be viewed in a hex editor at 64 bytes per row.

Hey Tetzrep, I have a quick question, I really think your earlier stuff with the Avenger's MK characters was awesome. How did you make the transparencies on characters that normally don't have them like Gorro/Hulk? Also, is that available for download?
Wow the boss characters mod for PC is awesome, thanks to those who worked on it :) one thing though, I cant do any fatalities with them once I beat someone....it doesnt give me the option to do a fatality, the match just ends :confused: I can only do them on training mode under 'fatality practise', and even then only Goro and Kintaro can be done...when trying with Shao Kahn, I get kicked back to the character select screen. Anyone know why this is?
but, now I see the ui_ps_vs_jpeg is the original boss file I made for the ps3. (kratos is in there)
bro, thats a awsome find! the pc is able to load and use the ps3 file unchanged...
so, we're already halfway to getting kratos to show up in the select screen!!
Ive had a quick look through 1 of the pc character files and noticed theres also some byteswapping (2 bytes by 2 bytes) differences aswell as the endian swap.
its gonna take a big effort for anyone trying to do it, it maybe be possible?
Im still trying work out the mesh structure to swap meshes between packages.
Theres are few references in the mesh files that relate to the name table of the package file.
each package has a different list of names making it not so easy to just swap out meshes.
the files sizes are different aswell, meanning the export table will need to be rebuilt too.
so far the only mesh swaps have only been within the same packages.
Im pritty sure that all the ps3 mods could be remade for the pc version.
at least the texture mods. probably cheats too, by way of game trainer.
I think if you can add Kratos to ui_ps_vs*xxx and may we can see him in player selection screen, because I added it to the Coalesced*ini. of course it's needed the char files of Kratos.
I'm trying to add it to the ui_ps_vs but no luck so far, just let me know if you can do that for us.
