another way to check each file is to use only the ui_ps_vs modded file.
then decompress and hex edit the unmodded ui_ps_vs_jpeg file changing the name from mileena into kintaro inside it.
either the game will crash (mod files broken) or you'll get an icon for kintaro that you can select and play as him (mod files good).
then try it again with the other way around for the ui_ps_vs_jpeg.
you can find the button icons inside the startup .xxx file. compression is abit different for that file.
I put together an all in one mk9 tool for ps3 that can decompress them. (on the front page)
or you could use the decompress bms tool I recently made for injustice, it can decompress mk9 and mkvsdcu startup file types aswell. (ps3 and xbox)
you can find that over here injustice-up-incoming-work-page11
the startup type files are: core, startup, engine, tweakvars, fmodaudio ... plus a few more
the game crashes because of the missing images in the select screen.
Ok, I managed to get it work, testing right now and NO CRASHES!
@Tetzrep @brunolee @Fox2005
f**king amazing work!
it makes me really happy to see people still working on mk9 after all these years.
at least you put a smile on my face! and before anyone asks why i'm saying that,well,things here with the school i go to are getting worse,really those people are SICK. i didn't mention this before,but on the 1st day of this conflict,they actually burned down the teacher's house WITH his family inside and tried to kill them.
yeah,i've been also quite sad and lacking motivation lately.
i won't mention this again,it's too depressing.
brunolee,so far, the trainer only works on training? i have a fix: assign to another key(say, backspace,for example) a regular character,like scorpion,so that you have the npc fix just like the ps3 and 360 versions. good luck!
those are the old boss images, also its a xbox screenshot.
