i just realized,it's possible to swap the background with any background you desire,even if it disables a challenge(same deal goes with the p1 part,but that's not news,it's already been known for quite a while) just send me a list in a pm containing what backgrounds and character(for player 1= p1) you want,but you will have to use the C59 codes,no exceptions(in case its not working,as soon as the challenge begins to load,do the combination 900000000 times)
i found something interesting when exploring mk9's memory:
there's a value that controls what mode is on,the address is 0198337F,the list of values is 0B is fat. trainer,02 is practice,06 is challenge tower,00 is ladder,03 is story mode.
01 is demo,0A is tutorial,0E seems to be another CT mode
yeah,it's possible to enter a normal fight with story mode and then finish off a character,then swap back the value,and go on to the next fight XD.
the code for codeunique would be 00002000 0198337F XX000000(replace XX with any of the values above)
01983397 seems to be for the fat. tutorial(seems,needs testing) 02 is fail,01 is success.
0198337B seems to control what state your char is on the fat. tutorial(0B is full control,07,08,01,00 disable it)
01983384 is related to finish him,etc,but i still dont really understand it's purpose,these are the values that showed up on C59 when finish him popped up: 00 0C 88 B0 normally all values except for the 3rd one are 00,and the 3rd one is 80. these values change in fat. tutorial,so,yeah.

0198AD41 maybe it controls the finish him on fat. tutorial,it pops up with a value of 10 on that mode,but then never has anything.
0198B42A finish him? it triggers finish him animations on the fat tutorial, the values are: B p1 5| p2
for some reason,the code from above doesn't seem to work on codeunique.
Thanks guys! I was telling futuretime I wanted my next video to be of all the stage fatalities on the bosses and NPC's. Where do you suggest I start looking without using codeunique to make these guys finishable? I'm going to start being more active on here so I can start contributing more.

yep,played quite a while with that thing.
my only suggestion is to use the mkscriptbinary extractor(preferably 0.2) with quickbms,and one of the files that gets extracted(doesn't seem to be tweakvars,but i could be mistaken) controls this(it could be data1 for instance,or the mko) i thought it was the GFGGameinfo but it doesnt seem like it(again,could be mistaken)
i hope you can get some regular fatalities in there(maybe regular babalities on the bosses,classic npcs dont have babalities,though strangely,classic reptile has a string for it,guess that ended up in the cut room)it's nice to see ya here :)
i'll get the files soon,takes me like 15 mins to get all of them(i'm going to spice it up with some extra p1 chars,remember)
i think i found what determines the finish him state.
the mko's have a string at the beginning which seems to repeat for chars,EXCEPT the bosses.
EDIT:nope,even swapping an mko doesn't do anything,it seems to control the movelist + some variables,but not the finish him aspect.
means that it maybe on tweak vars,or another of the indexdatas.
Still we're that much closer to figuring this out we'll get there soon. I've been thinking about coming out with 4 new videos one for Goro, Kintaro, Shao Kahn and the NPCS. I wanna redo my fatalities on Shao Kahn and Kintaro videos because the ones I have posted now are in low quality and I also want to show them done in different arenas too and this time by the right characters. All these videos are going to show every fatality in the game including the stage fatalities and babalities as soon as we crack this finishable mod.

anyways,i tried swapping shao kahn with scorpion(indextable 1 aka global) but it gets to 90% and crashes(before anyone ask,i swapped it properly) the fix to this may be in data1(it has indextable 1 and 2 info),but at least two things can be confirmed that don't handle the finish him values: the mko and the tweakvars.
i'll try some new theories once i get back home from school,but if i cant find anything,i'll just do the C59 mods and be done with it.
well,i tried swapping goro's with cyberzero's data 1,but nope,90% then crash(it means i gotta do it in a different way) so far,mko's and tweakvars have nothing to do with finish values(i doubt the stringblock has anything to do with it,but you never know) im getting frustrated by this,and as well that the codes i made for ps3usercheat based on my recent findings dont seem to work(even in a clean mk9 codelist) i might upload it soon,so that someone can tell me if they work or it's just my ps3 or whatever,but strangely they work fine on ProDG(it might be a ps3usercheat glitch or incompatibility)
i'll get the C59 files done soon enough,i'll get a pack(not all,but at least something you can chew on) up today or tomorrow.
if you want a specific char on a specific stage,let me know. the only request i have is that if you can get some normal fatalities on a separate vid(in other words,record some standard fatalities,upload them to YT,but it's not the compilation you are planning to do)

installation is easy,if you use the hdd method(present in 1.00 and 1.01,1.02+ remove this) just put one of the folders in dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30522(or BLES01132 if you have that one)/USRDIR/DLC
if you prefer the toc method,it's not hard,just swap towerblock 11 with one of the files in the folders,swap the ps3toc sizes,and that's it.
lastly,if you are having trouble with the C59 codes,do the following:as soon as you select the challenge,do the combination(say Start + L2 for kintaro) quickly and do it multiple times(in other words,button mash)until the challenge stops loading(or close to it) remember,beat sheeva,then fail the finish her part,then the char pops up,beat sheeva 1st,then beat the char,now you can do the fatality.
