Greetings, I have read through about 20 pages in here and I am liking what I am seeing 8 }
Going through the .xxx files I have managed to manipulate a lot of the things in the game and I am even extracting the media from the .xxx files now.
Does anyone know how to import the files back into a .xxx file? This would help me out a lot. Is this what "X-Packer" does?
Has anyone been able to extract and use the source code to this game yet?

And yes you are right with the use of X-Packer to import the file back into a xxx file but also
you can also use Scorpion MkPs3TextureBeta3 Tool 2 but just a bit different but on the other hand MkPs3TextureBeta3 tool can open up some file's that,
X-Packer can't. So at time's one tool can be a bit more useful then the other. Good Luck on modding.

Jake, his tool will only work on PS3 as far as I know. There are a couple of tools out there that allow you to work with the xbox version, but I don't personally own an xbox so I never kept up with what they were. Welcome aboard

Is there a command list for Xpacker or a walkthrough to inject files back into the .xxx?
Can it import specific files or do I need to unpack and repack the entire .xxx with Xpacker?
I'm pretty confused at the moment with this utility and any info would help me out a lot.
It keeps asking me for a .texture2D file while I have been working with .tga files from umodel. How do I convert to a .texture2d?

you need to convert them to dds(texture2d files) and then repack them to texture2d(ps3 only) or inject them to an xxx file(ps3/xbox360) when it comes to repacking files or unpacking,same deal applies to both 360 and ps3,there's zero difference(if you are using tetzrep's all in one ps3 mk9 texture2d, like me,it can be used on 360 files,but you will have to use xpacker for modding 360 textures)when repacking with scorpion's beta repacker but when unpacking with umodel i think you have to use a specfic string(-ps3 IIRC) lastly,decompressing is the same for both platforms.
Okay cool I think I have it figured out but it didnt change anything when I tested it.
I edited the Cyrax_Spec <dot> Texture2D by changing some colors and it didn't change anything in the final project. Is this the correct file to edit in order to alter the characters texture?
I may have had trouble importing the texture back into the .xxx file because the tools are console biased specific.
the correct one is the diff one,the spec one i think might have something to do when gets finished by a flame or skin removing fatality(thats not sheeva's im talking scorpion's toasty) the normhqa one is the color pallette(IIRC.)
