Okay guys

for those who hex edit mk9,and particilar with hexworkshop(best hex editor out there in my opinion)

im going to share my bookmarks for the .xxx files,the one im posting is specific for char_scorpion (but can be applied on all char\npc files)

this will give an general idea how the xxx files are put togehter as every header of the xxx has the same structure(duh)

and this is also a way of sharing as much of information in 1 single file.

i looked at the nametable more closely and it always starts with a capital and in alphabetic order,so A and then all strings starting with a,B and then all strings starting with b etc.

so i can say for 99 percent that we have to put n in the N section,and the c in the C

Thanks digitaloverdose this is big and I have to agree 100% that hexworkshop is the best hex editor out there.

yep it's a music mod, it plays the legacy (original) music by default.

futuretime23, I downloaded the mod, unrar it, put the SNDMODS folder in dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30522/USRDIR/DLC but didn't work. Then tried just putting the .xxx files directly in dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30522/USRDIR/DLC but didn't work either.

What am I doing wrong? Am I missing some step? Do I need to install some .PKG or something?

you need to have the 1.01 version of the game,i think it also works on 1.00(no testing on this version with mods as far as i know)
versions 1.02,and 1.03 do not work with these type of mods.

I'm going 2 redo the video and fix it by running it with 1.01 but the video may be out some time next week or sooner?
