    futuretime, you're putting a lot of time on this brother, don't let it get you down. If the table numbers are that far off then that might be what has to be done, if you need help renumbering certain parts I'm sure that lilgrim and myself could give ya a hand if you let us know what you need done

    I was playing around earlier with doing a mod on the classic scorpion texture2D, have any of you guys tried doing that yet? It shows up grey as if it's smoke. I noticed in one of the extracted .xxx files that there was a file that looked like it was pinning a certain yellow color onto the texture. (when I get back home I will try to find it) Has anyone else ran into this with any of the other classic outfits?

    well here it is:MK9ModPack 1 by futuretime23.
    contents include:johnny cage duke nukem v2(changes are:johnny cage looks more like duke nukem,he wears a red t-shirt now,his head picture has jc's hair yellow,like duke nukem.)
    ps3 skarlet(skarlet with a t-shirt with the ps3 logo imprinted,to celebrate the ps3's 5th anniversary,never knew skarlet was a fan of da ps3)
    kahn's coliseum does classic music by default(means if you select it with normal music or play it on the ladder,etc,it will have classic music normally,hex editting was used to switch the music,use the frikkie mesh bat and replace the hex addresses with digital's tut.)
    remember put ALL of these folders on dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30522/USRDIR/DLC.
    thanks to digital for the mesh swap tut,which seems it can be used for other stuff,as well for being the earliest to texture mod,tetzrep for ps3 aio program,mk9 char texture 2d,and the first to mesh swap a char,scorpion2k7 for providing the dlc and tools,frikkie,for packaging the frikkie mesh bat,which allowed the classic music much more easier.

    did you keep the sizes of strings the same?like npc_classicsmoke and char_smoke_e arent the same sizes,npc_classicsmoke. is 17 characters long and char_smoke_e. is 13 characters long.

    every string in the xxx file has a 4 byte string-check(how many bytes the string is) before the string,for example you will see:

    Code:
    ....NPC_ClassicSmoke.
    or in hex

    Code:
    00 00 00 11 4E 50 43 5F 43 6C 61 73 73 69 63 53 6D 6F 6B 65 00
    so 00 00 00 11 is the number of bytes/characters for the string

    11 in hex = 17 in dec

    NPC_ClassicSmoke. is 17 characters long

    and what if we tried changing the names(alphabetic order in nametable?) togheter with swapping the 128 bit GUID's from the packages within the xxx files from other xxx files?
    like swapping GUID's from char_smoke with npc_classicsmoke

    no digital,i didnt keep the same bs character length.
    but this brings me to another question,if i could swap make a wish with wishbone,which has less letters,and the game loaded fine,why the f*** does the game ask for this specific detail?
    anyways,ill try guid,but another time later.
    lets try with char_basemale.
    btw digital,if you are interested,check this out:CHAR_SMOKE_E_new.rar
    this is the mod i did,if we can fix this,guess we would have extra costumes,though i will later try with basemale and classic reptile,except i will add classic reptile pic in the ui files and as extra dlc.(non costume)
    so char_classicreptile rather than char_reptile_e.
    EDIT:we could also try to add to char smoke e,call it char smoke elder.
    EDIT2:tried this with reptile,called him char reptile elder,kept the same char length,and yet the game still freezes,though i noticed that i ddint edit the npc file,which i decompressed before hex editting,then after hex edit i extracted it,and every npc classic reptile became reptile elder,even in name table,though the order was still wrong,and i noticed that compressed xxx npc classic reptile has two references to npc classicreptile while decompressed has four.
    any help apart from guid's digital?
    im going insane.

    ive looked at char_smoke_e for you and you kept the same lenght which is good,but it does not say "CHAR_smoke_E" but "CHAR_Smoke_E.....",and not"CHAR_Smoke_E-5968d8ae." but "CHAR_Smoke_E-5968d8ae....."

    maybe thought you were copy/pasteing different stringlenghts over each other

    i used winhex 16.1
    as well what file? the mkscriptbinary file?
    lets try this except on a compressed xxx file,btw wheres is the fatality music located?
    i want to modify it.

    i use HxD,or hexworkshop

    as for what i checked/looked at was just the char_smoke_e string of the attachment in your previous post,nothing else.

    and why you wanna try this on a compressed xxx file??this make no sense to me,explain

    fatality music i don't know,if you want to modify it search the xxx files
