    i have had a quick look for you in the decompressed char files and for sound they use LAME3.98(beta) i think, look it up on the www

    edit: i also see .wav and .fsb extensions

    also for the texture2d to dds great to see you also working on this (my work on that is on a hold right now,time issues),im also going to see if you can make all the extracted texture2d files into dds(hint) e.g with the different offsets where the texturesblocks begins.
    You can edit any extracted file, may also be of different size to the original.
    With this version of the program you can't add or delete the extracted files into xxx file

    Alright

    I have Made my Tattoo-less Johnny and my Human reptile DDS files.

    Does anyone know of a website that has texture DDS maps of characters? I remember the old old unreal had them. I am basically wanting them so I can add there faces to these?


    its like a picture of there but there skin is stretched out.

    EDIT: I found a nice laura croft skin, taking her face and changing sonya's hair and doing some small color changes to her costume. it makes a pretty good Laura Croft.


    btw

    are you hex editing the texture2d into dds ? and then back into the texture2d digital? because you can use umodel to covert it dds. umodel does not convert back tho. so you would have to hex edit it back to texture2d. maybe cut out a step for all the hex editing.

    ok..

    installed the pkg, updated the game.

    Now i have to update to 3.60 ???

    Fix anyone??

    Remove the gamedata (2472 MB) from xmb? (top of games?) and than NOT update the game?

    Please help...

    okay im sorry but i dont know what you are trying to say here exactly :S

    but what you can do is ,use umodel to extract the texture2d as .tga ,open it with photoshop and edit it,save it as a .dds dxt5 with genarate mipmaps and then you will have the textureblocks ready to be hexedited back into the .texture2d file(look at things i posted on that and reverse it, minus the dds header which is 0x80 in hex or 128 bytes),and then use scorps tool to repack the decompressed char_file(replace the modded texture2d in the texturemap with the same name of the original) ,this is the easiest way (still hexediting included)to get the textures modded for now tho.

    I am far from the person to give a tut on how to do it, but somewhere around pg 120 or so everything started breaking open with the bosses and Digital's mod's so you might want to start there.

    As far as the update's go, on CFW you are safe to install all update pkgs EXCEPT 1.04 (the newest one because it will require 3.60.(unless it's one that Scorpion released) So yes, you would have to install the game data (and possibly re-rip your game if it was running fine before this) and do not install the update, hope that helps

    BTW The game will run just fine with the DLC packs without doing any of the updates

    Thank you for taking a look but I extracted some CHAR files and I don't see any audio extension like FSB, AT3, and those files... which file did you exactly extracted? Thanks!

    Edit1:I found FMOD sound files. Now I need to extract them. What I didnt do was to decompress them, that's why I didn't see the Fmod files.

    Edit2: All sound files... for example a Mileena's one: vo_good_for_you.FmodEvent - are only 1KB all. IS that so? Anyway. there a 1MB file: SND_VO_Mileena_PS3Data.FmodEventFile but how to extract a ".FmodEventFile" file?

    Beautiful work, I can work a lot faster, although I must admit I do miss the hard work. I suppose I owe Scorpian and Digital credits for when my mod pack is released

    This is the kind of work I expected to see out of a modding community, I'll still release my findings for the other files not covered by XXX and texture2d file format so I guess I still can feel good about sharing those things. Again congratulations on the release I guess I better get to work with the new efficient tools. For once I feel a little useless since I only was able to contribute a little bit but for once it's nice to see intellectual people take the step up something I'm not used to in the 360 community, I am used to doing everything myself and releasing my findings but it's nice to be on the receiving end for a change. Give yourselves a pat on the back guys, you deserve it

    Frost and all the others that fight in the background of the pit stage do in fact have models and the same texture2d files as all the other fighters. So if someone wants to take a look into assign the model to a move set, , like just giving frost ( which is just called PT_Fighter_FR, the move set of subzero. that type of modification is out of my league.


    People in BGND_PIT.XXX

    PT_Fighter_FR = Frost
    PT_Fighter_RK = Reiko
    PT_Fighter_SA= Sareena
    PT_Fighter_DG=Daegon
    PT_Fighter_KE=Kenshi


    I was hoping to find meat in the temple stage, but oddly only could find Priest and victim.

    Like I said , they are just the models. no move set what so ever. it would take a lot of work but maybe in the future we could play as them. Or could lead to nothing and I am wasting everyone's time.sorry
