im using 3.55 idont know if im using kmeaw or geohot. but i have this multiman and lv2 patcher,
im trying to unlock scarlet and other dlc characters but i cant install any pkg files except the 1.02 retail update

You're probably using CFW 3.55 Wutangrza + geohot jb. That is old; you should get the CFW 3.55 Kmeaw, that's what everyone uses. The advantages are that it recognizes more pkg files. You don't have to run the lvl2 thing first; I use Iris Manager the games that with multiman required to put select + X I don't even need to do that, I just select them like normal with just X.

Instalation of the CFW is easy, you just download the CFW, put the PS3 in recovery mode (there are tutorials in youtube on how to do that) and install it and that's it.

when i try to install the 1.01 and 1.02 it works fine. but when the pkg files like fixbosses and dlc characters and the 1.03 update i get an error during installation.

i've been searching for almost 2 months to fix this but still no good pls help /

Of coure you can. The CFW 3.55 Kmeaw just gives you more compatibility that you had before, in fact, as I said, many PKGs that didn't work before with the geohot jailbreak now will work.

Changing firmwares and using different backup managers won't delete your saved game, so don't worry

Guys...just a little hint...you DON'T have to install the updates to get the fix's/patches/DLC to run....they will install fine and play just as easily without installing them.
I have a CFW machine and a 3.41JB and I'm still running the original game without the patches...if it isn't broke...why fix it lol

Yes you can. Kmeaw 3.55 is very good. I also use this and all games works fine.
