have they been patched to work on 3.55, if so you're going to need to revert back to the original files

I can't believe I didn't think of this but this may be right! Is there an easy way to revert back? Or do I have to go digging for the original files?

Also just wondering why it says 4.31 in my System Settings menu in the XMB. Shouldn't it say 4.3 (not 4.31) Cobra-CFW or something?

possible it's spoofed to 4.31 to prevent un-authorized/ accidental updating (and possible PSN access) best way to revert back to original files would be grabbing them off the original discs

Out of curiosity do you have a CobraUSB? And does yours show 4.31 in the XMB? Only asking because my MultiMan refuses to change to "Disabled" in the Spoof Firmware menu.

Also I just tried Sonic Generations which was patched for 3.55 and it worked just fine without me having to revert back to the original files?

Yes I do have CobraUSB but I haven't been able to install Cobra 4.30CFW as of yet (I'm in one place PS3's in another) so really no help there sorry, as for the game working some did but most didn't (when going from 3.55 to 4.XXCFW) and I believe Sonic Generation was one

Well it turns out you were 100% correct. A lot of brand new games that I didn't even patch worked perfectly. I had to go back and delete the patches for a few of the games, but many that were patched still worked somehow. Weird!

A big reason for my confusion was the XMB's section for "System Information" said nothing about a custom or Cobra firmware; it says 4.31. No idea why that is, though!
