Cobra USB Compatibility Game List (PS2/PSP)

Several key members thought it would be a good idea to create a list of games that are compatible or not compatible or have issues with Cobra USB as a HDD/ISO file.

Please help us make this game chart accurate by reporting your issues and also workarounds--if any.

When reporting a game, please provide the following information for the game:

1. Game Title
2. Region or GAME ID
3. Is your PS3 either FULL HW or HYBRID or EXPERIMENTAL SW. (see Definitions below to learn what's the difference)
4. Please provide whether it works or known issues or problems.
5. you must be testing this with a COBRA USB. No other support for any other methods (non-COBRA USB) will be accepted.

DEFINITIONS:
Full HW PS2 BC (EE/GS) = CECHAXX & CECHBXX
Hybrid HW/SW PS2 BD (GS only) = CECHCXX & CECHEXX
No PS2 BC (experimental SW Cobra enabled) = CECHGXX & later

I am willing to make this chart as good as you guys want me to. My only concern is that if we add a list for non-compatible PS3s, that we may end up listing a very long list of games (perhaps thousands of games) that don't work well with it--which I am trying to avoid. I think it may be obvious that most games will not work well with non-compatible PS3s.

Indeed. Even the games that do work without any major emulation bugs can be expected to run at reduced speed for any sections that use complex graphics.

I think if we just focus on the Cobra USB and the PS2/PSP ISO HDD Games that work well on a Hardware Compatible PS3, will be a good guide? Your thoughts? And don't be afraid to tell me that I am having a blonde moment.

In order to minimize the list it does make sense to stick to those games that can be made to work well enough to give the player some enjoyment. But then there will always be doubts about those games not included in the list, whether they were left out because of malfunctions or were merely overlooked...

I'm afraid the only way to make everyone happy (except your overworked self ) is to make the list as extensive as possible.

Your list format example looks fine to me, though some games might need more extensive notes, in case they give problems both for the BC and the non-BC models.

I agree with you 100%. It will be done like you suggest. Plus I'll remove the NOTES column and just add notes to each column that relates to the type of PS3 console when made available.

Just for me to know, what are the differences between Software Compatible vs. Non-Compatible? Perhaps if someone could provide a tiny description of each type of unit would be helpful. I would love to add these definitions to the list above. Thanks in advance.

I updated the lists above, plus I had to edit a few replies, so I can create the second reply for the PSP games, since I predict these lists will be very long. So please forgive me if I deleted some of your replies.

I will also like to request assistance from other moderators to help me keep this "soon-to-be" monstrous game list up-to-date. Thanks in advance. -- Oh, and be sure to make a backup of the "post code" before you modify it, in case you wreck the table properties. If you need my help in teaching you how to add more tables and etc, let me know by PM.

just a note your PS3 wasn't fully HW BC and relied mostly on software

I'm not trying to be mean but I don't want the list to lie about a game being laggy on HW/BC when it's laggy on Hybrid/BC (your model has Emotion Engine SW emulation)
