Cobra USB battlefield 3 issues??

Im running Bitsbubba NFW with my Cobra USB and trying to get Battlefield 3 backup to run.

Ive done the duplex patch and replaced the PARAM but im still getting a black screen?

After this I decided to install multiMAN ver 02.09.02 as it is said to be the bees knees but I have very little knowledge about it and weather it runs properly with COBRA

I tried loading BATTLEFIELD 3 via multiman and it booted me back up into the XMB with BATTLEFIELD 3 now in the games menu, GREAT but when i click it, I get a black screen and then it just boots back into the XMB

Could someone tell me where ive gone wrong

I know i'm still new to this, so please be kind?

I also got Cobra but I couldn't use Multiman or games with folder structure so It is just collecting dust for now. With Cobra all the games need to have the ISO structure. I bought Battlefield 3 when it got released and I replaced the file file just like you, the param.sfo I let multiman patch it So only difference is that I am using Kmeaw CFW 3.55. Not sure that any firmware can use the cobra ISO files and ordinary folder structure at the same time. Until The Cobra firmware can start folder structure games it's not really useful.

you must be missinformed as most my games are in folder struture and play just fine with Cobra USB, Cobra has always supported game this way from dongle launch (Cobra also has a built in feature that alows you to convert your games to iso right there on the PS3)

Yes I most be misinformed since it's the first time I hear about this. You mean I could have used this the whole time just like with Kmeaw and Mutiman?? Do I need your Firmware for this or does their work to? I tested a firmware that was like Kmeaw without the dongel but it went black screen with the dongel So my dongel isn't used at all. I would prefer using the dongel since I payed for it but I have all my games in Folder form on the internal Hardrive and I always believed this games wouldn't work. I also use a USB hub that uses the boath USB ports, not sure if the dongel works trough the USB hub. IF this is Firmware related could you please tel me what firmware to use. I have always thought Cobra need isos of the games to play them didn't know I could play games that were in Folder form and iso form at the same time. Would love to play my PSP games on my big screen so this is great news if it works . . . .

Tried the Bitsbubba Cobra Firmware and Battlefield 3 Doesn't work in Multiman If you started any game before it. When I restart the PS3 and it's the first game I start it seem to load OK, Didn't have time to play anything but I get to the start screen. I have a disk in the PS3 so didn't try it diskless either. But when I started Uncharted 3 first and finished the game without restarting the PS3 and went to multiman to start battlefield I got a blacscreen after The syncronizing trophies message. When restarted Battlefield start screen loaded OK.

that first FW was doomed from the beginning, just go to thier site and d/l all the files needed (either thier 3.55 CFW or you could also use my NFWv3-CobraUSB) make sure you read their instruction (you could even visit their official support forums over at Tortuga Cove I'm a Mod there)

Edit: testing now but I believe it will work fine from a hub

Edit: tah seems to work just fine from a hub

I am using Crown's special usb hub and it seemed to work on port 3 from the left, on the other ports it finds an unknown hardware. It's a shame BD Mirroring with Multiman doesn't work either. Almost every game started with BD Mirroring. More games worked with Kmeaw Think I will go back.....

if you convert the games that needed BD mirror to iso format and mount them from either internal or external they run fine, also on a side note w/ CobraUSB it does not matter whether there is a disc or not everything runs disc-less from the BD icon

Ok so it seems there is no real answer to this short of spending another day messing around with cobra ect.

I think im going to make the switch from NFWv3 (sorry bitsbubba) to Kmeaw as it seems to be working for others. Probably hold on to the cobra just in case.

Whats the best way to change CFW on an already jailbroken PS3?
