Yeah, now I tried external and it works yay! External without a disc on TB CFW 2 son.
Glad it works =), getting worried for a while.

If I ever come across a game that works differently on one TB CFW or TB UPDATE to the next I will put that in the notes on the compatibility list (So far hasn't happened unless the update was specifically for blocking clones (JBKing) using upcoming eboots, which I also mention in notes.) If a game on rebug works differently than on TB CFW I'll do the same (If I'm aware of it, as I don't test on Rebug.) Rage compatibility hasn't changed.

Yeah, I tried everything. Deleted all game data, did Updates(101 to 103)tried eboot fix, reripped the game. Still freezes on the MK9 Logo.
I have two ps3's though. One for all True Blue the other is on Rebug 3.55.2 so I can still play the game. Although I do want to use a Cobra USB on that BC Ps3.

I was on Rebug before this whole TB craze. Tried everything on my TB ps3 and still no MK9. Reripped, applied every update(1.01 to 1.03 even without any updates), tried the eboot fix(I'll try again on diff comp),fixed permissions, tried Internal/external, checked game disc is MM options. I know of a few others with the same MK9 TB issue on Rebug TB and TB CFW2.

Got MK9 working! Tried the eboot fix again on my laptop(instead of my PC)and it works external with a disc and no options selected. Just get the Multiman eboot fix drag the folder BLUS30522 into ebootfix.exe and replace the files in the retailBLUS30522 folder(make sure the retail folder is 17 mbs) in the BLUS30522 folder(9.7 Gb). After that delete the old gamne data and apply the update and play! All on TB cfw v2... peace I am out!

Well here it is the fixed MK9 BLUS30522 folders
Just Delete game data,replace the files in the appropriate folders apply update and play.

I am having a hell of a time trying to get reACTPSN to work with rebug TB firmware. I wonder if v2 TB CFW would work.. assuming I don't have a PSN account..

That's exactly what i did back when TB was 2.2, people said fix permissions, etc no one said to refix the eboot, so thats why I put it in the compatibility list (well actually I just dragged the eboot into ebootmod). I think I know what is happening. I think the update screws up when you switch from Kmeaw Etc to TB CFW (or possibly just changing CFW in general) I also think it detects a 3.56 eboot because thats what it original is (before fix) and TB CFW cant play or will screw up trying to play an official sony 3.56 eboot (unless paradox were to patch it) anyway so when you fix it with deank's tool it makes it 3.55 eboot which TB CFW can read without paradox patch.

Anyway, I had something like that in my head when I figured it out a few months ago, now i cant remember exactly.

PS3 is a funny machine because I still have original 3.56 EBOOT with the 3.50 update and mine still works fine (MK9)

It is funny, the original eboot is 25 mb in size the fixed eboot is 9mb. I also have many friends who had the same problem, on a game that worked on 3.55 CFW.

Yeah that is odd (maybe cause I used ebootmod and not ebootfix my original eboot is 25.43MB, the 1.01 update is 25.49MB and my fixed (modded) eboot is 25.37MB. I guess ebootfix makes use of the compression flags self to elf back to self decrypt/encrypt process. I'd have to take a look at the decrypted .elfs of all three to figure it out but i dont really care as long as it works.
