If you mean 2 internal hard drives no. If you want 2 (or more) hard drives, you can only have 1 internal and the rest external USB (formatted to fat32), nothing will be deleted. But i believe if you try and swap internals the ps3 will automatically reformat the drive even if its already formatted to sony proprietary format, so I've been told.
with a usb HUB you can, but from my experiences external HDD works better directly connected, even with a 2.0 high speed transfer rate is pretty slow for me.
I have 2 externals on a hub and it works just fine, just very seldom a game maybe stutter or even freeze if it has tons of files.
I'm not 100% sure about this tool because I haven't used it yet but there is a tool by Graf_Chokolo to disable ps3 hdd encryption which might be what you're looking for, the problem is the tool only stops the ps3 from encrypting data it DOES NOT decrypt data so it has to be enabled before creating data on the harddrive, so basically you would have to format the hdd and start again to try it.
I don't know if swapping hdd's with this method is possible(do more research) but it's your best bet.
P.S. You should probably just get an external, it's cheaper(depending on what you want) and easier, if it's usb ports you're worried about get a usb hub or there's a good 4 port usb adapter+sd card reader (on ebay?) that fits perfectly over the 2 (slim ps3) usb ports.
I hope we've cleared things up for you.

no wat i mean is i have an internal hdd currently. it is filled up.
if i put in another hdd and format it can i still use the previous hdd with previous backuped games?
No, after putting a new drive in the ps3 and formatting it the information/files on the old drive are lost and can't be recovered, the only option is backing up what you want to keep on an external hdd or by ftp to your computer then transfering them back to the ps3
