It's the same problem with the long delay in verifying the files. The one game that is untouched works fine either way you want to go, but loading 2 or 3 causes a freeze/crash. I really get the feeling that all those reports were just people testing that 3rd game (a PSP remake???)

Yeah it all makes since to me 400,000 files is about 16 times more than I ever came to so MGS2 and MGS3 not laoding makes sense to me as they werent designed (maybe even designed not to) work on an external hard drive. So i will change this in compat thread at crunch to reflect until its been fully tested and resolved. I have both of these games on ps2 but will prolly get the HD collection by next month as Im interested and a huge fan.

and jay jay i pmed the guy who said tiger woods doesnt work ext on US with info to give us the US files we need but no response yet, hes prolly overwhelmed as hes a noob i believe, but smart enough to know how to test a game properly.

@PatrickBatman - I'll have a fix up in a day or two so they can run without a problem from external.

Also I'm probably getting ahead of the game here but the US version of Max Payne 3 apparently doesn't dump correctly like the Final Fantasy series and other games mentioned. I normally wouldn't post this info but it'll save some trouble when it does get patched

Duplex US release Proper Notes:

VIMTO's release wasn't properly ripped and therefore contains hundreds of
broken/garbage files. (e.g. try playing one of the .bik files ...)
So here is a proper rip! Enjoy!

FW 4.11 still needed on this one though :/

I already had the VIMTO release and checked the BIK files and DUPLEX was right - It was a bad dump and more than likely will be dumped incorrectly for most users

Well I'll remember that for others, I already have Payne 3 dumped from original disc (w/ dongle out) on my hd.

Did you mean FF vitmo didnt dump correctly or in general, if general thats a TB CFW dumping problem from original disc, if its a Vitmo thing then i have no idea about as i dont get Vitmo release as there screwed up half the time or french only like Dcomics. Well i will tell them a fix should be out soon for ext MGS

I was talking about general dumps. It's just something to keep an eye on if you get people saying Max Payne 3 doesn't work after it's patched. If they used the VIMTO release you can tell them it's garbage and if they dumped from original disc and are having problems, you can point them to the workaround for the other games (either removing the dongle to dump it or switching to KMEAW/Rebug to dump it) Since you've already dumped it from original disc, you should try to play the bik files. If it's already on your PS3, I think showtime plays bik files

I have a problem with warriors orochi 3, I'm running it with multiman on internal using the Trueblue Eboot patch. The game run fine most of the time, but for some battles in story mode, I would always get black screen as soon as I load the battle. The background music was still running, however, the screen is completely black.
