I compared the 2 versions and theres too much different with them, there are heaps of files with a slightly different name eg. an "E" at the end, and theres a few extra files aswell so even if we could get it running it wouldn't be fully playable.

I appreciate you looking into this. I also took a jab at it. I grabbed the US Game and copied the files to the working Japanse game version.

First I put all the files that were in the US or NA folders into the JAP folders (of the Japanese game version). I then renamed all the files that had "E" before the extension (this was done in seconds with a free app called Rename Master). Found out that the Japanese version had two extra files in that particular folder--so I left those two Japanese files in there. The game would not load. I then loaded just the working Japanese version and allowed it to install it's game data, then I copied over the US files into JAP folders of the game data. The game would still not load. I could not fool it into thinking it would still fetch the Japanese files.

Hopefully TB provides an extra EBOOT patch for this US version.

@Jay-Jay - for the most part I'll let you keep up with it. You guys have done a great job here. I'll only update it if there's a a major problem with one or a workaround to play on external like ME3. I'll send you a message when I do so you can still check it and keep track of the changes. The rest I'll just post with everyone else

@Jay-Jay - not sure how you want to write this one up. FFXIII-2 USA version has a problem. You get a black screen when you apply the EUR patch to the backup you made from original disc while on TB firmware. You and I talked before about FFXIII (original) doing the same thing a while back. Here's the response I sent someone after testing. Hope you can make sense of it

@nadheeh - I've got a fix for Final Fantasy XIII-2. Just tested US version with Eur patch and it works fine.

What's going on is you can't make a good copy of FFXIII-2 while you have TB firmware installed. You made a backup from the original disc. I had the same problem making a backup of the original FFXIII using TB firmware. FFXIII froze at the Square Enix logo. Your copy of FFXIII-2 froze in the same place.

Here's how you fix it:
1. install Rebug 3.55.2 from Codename: REBUG
2. load up multiMAN and make a new backup. I'm playing off internal drive. I suggest you do the same
3. apply your PARADOX patch
4. Re-install TB firmware
5. have fun

Edit: There's also a report that if you use multiMAN's copy feature to apply the patch instead of FTP it will correct it in some cases. This may work for some people and should be the first thing tried to correct the problem since it is the easiest to do and I think everyone should be able to do it without any kind of hassle. If it doesn't work then follow the steps above. There's also a report that you need to install the .6 Rebug update after step 1 above to get a good backup of the game.

If anyone is having this issue, please report which method works for you so we can have accurate information for a universal fix

Does the Japanese TB patch for Final fantasy XIII-2 work with the asian multi-repack thing?
That's the only one that I was able to find that has Japanese voices (No offense for the guys playing the English version but some VAs make my ears bleed)
And If not, Do I still need to make that trick mentioned above to make a backup from a original Japanese disk?

PS. If I have a PC with a BR-Drive, is there a way to make the backup from PC and transfer it there?

I already was playing the Euro version. I was just helping him out with the US version because I've seen issues with FF games and True Blue before. It's entirely too time consuming to test different versions. More than likely you'll have to do that firmware switch for any Final Fantasy game that you backup from original disc using TB firmware. I don't know what asian multi-repack thing you are talking about. I'm only aware of 1 Japanese version of the game (Also a version with English subs and Japanese Audio). If you mean some lame peer to peer repack, then god only knows if it will work. TB is real picky about modified files

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but does anybody know if a patch is out yet for MLB the Show 12? Just got my TB yesterday, and it came with v.2.51 already on it, so I think im good to go. Searched everywhere for MLB the Show 12 and cant seem to find a patch. Probably hasnt been made yet?

Seriously, check everyday the list on the first page of this thread. That list gets updated whenever there are new patches released.
