True Blue and Multiman ???

I just got my dongle yesterday and am starting to experiment with it. I have tried to read around but someone that already knows may be able to save me the time and reading.

So from reading it says that without the dongle I am basically running OFW. assuming no peek/poke..so heres my questions?

First off I am using REBUG True Blue edition CFW

1. Without the dongle is their any way to play your games as you would like normal with Kmeaw? simply launching thru multiman? or am I now married to this dongle if I want to play games on my ps3?

2. I get the payload / firmware error with Multiman when not using the dongle. Do I need to re-install BDEMU2.bin?

Also last question:

3. Is it necessary for me to update the dongle in order of the updates? like update first to 2.2, then to 2.3, and so on? or can I just update with the latest update?

Hopefully someone can clarify these things for me. Thanks in advance

I think you have to have the dongle inserted to play all games when using a True Blue cfw.

Yes you can install directly to 2.3

Thanks for the reply. Seems to be my results so far as well. It be nice if they incorporated a way to make the CFW behave like Kmeaw without the dongle. But that seems to be part of their security for it, maybe their own TB style peek n poke...Whateva

im just happy i can play new games on my CFW ps3 again.

BDEMU2 does nothing for true blue CFW you will still get the error, but you are able to install games to the XMB like with ebootfix or bd2hdd because without the dongle you still have *install packages and the dongle isn't needed the play games psn style

also if you have any games that required multiMAN's BD mirror function after installing update 2.3 they will play again (just make sure you un-select BD Mirror) also they can be either internal or external

Does anybody know if it is possible to enable peek and poke by running this thru MFW builder? Seems that might allow for the cfw to behave like kmeaw when the dongle is not inserted. But then again it may cause the dongle to not work properly.

Anybody have the means to test this? Maybe someone with an e3 flasher just in case it bricks

The dongle doesnt like anything except TB CFW or rebug. It wouldnt work.
