Yes Jay, you would be correct in your assessment, I am technically a noob when it comes to the PS3 modding scene. I have been more involved in the Xbox modding scene over the past few years and this PS3 I have kind of fell into my lap. Beyond TB, I don't have that much knowledge of the CFW that is out there. I am, however, in the IT/networking field and totally understand everything you're telling me so don't think I'm going to be asking you all kinds of stupid follow up questions. Your post is exactly what I needed and from this point forward I do believe I understand what needs to be done. Or I can just buy a Cobra dongle and be done with it...

You are welcome. Being called a noob isn't a bad thing. I am a noob in many ways also. And I don't always shy away from it. And there is always a chance you may teach me something useful--well at least I look forward to it. I love knowledge!
