Still getting the 80010017 error, tried both Hermes and Standard BD emulation in MM... any suggestions? The game I'm attempting to load wasn't patch for TB.

what FW?

Latest version of Rebug.
d/l the latest base install of mM 4.08.00 & the latest update 4.08.04 install and then everything should work fine

the 80010017 error means you're trying to use an eboot signed wrong. Try updating your game through multiman and see if that doesn't fix it.
Edit: when you say the latest Rebug what do you mean? the latest 3.55, 4.21, or 4.30?
4.30
On one game, it acts like it's loading but then returns to XMB.
It seems to me that you are noob to these things.
Okay so you upgraded from TrueBlue CFW to rebug 4.30 CFW--I hope you QA FLAG your system before that.
Now you are having issues running games. My question is did these games work good with TrueBlue? If yes, then the issue is that those games might need for you to enable BD-Mirror in the Game Settings in multiMAN. You only have to do this once, multiMAN will remember their settings once you set them. Set it and forget it. TrueBlue skipped the BD-Mirror process.
If you don't know how to use multiMAN here is a guide of the early-features that multiMAN first started with: multiMAN Beginner Guide.pdf
You should consult with Compatibility Charts to understand what you need to do in order to make some games work. Some rely on having an original disc in the system. Other rely BD-Mirror to be enabled. Some require both settings enabled. It's all explained and foretold in this list: http://www.pshomebrew.net/wiki/PS3_B...atibility_List - Bookmark it and use it from now on.
I recall you said that your PS3 laser is shot? Or I might be confusing you with another report. Either way, you need to go into multiMAN Settings and find the setting for: Fix Broken Blu-Ray Movie Playback and enable it-- hopefully this works for you.
Keep in mind that this topic of yours is in the True Blue section of this forum. We should not be discussing anymore about Rebug since it's off-topic in this area. If you are still having trouble with some games, then I suggest to start a new topic under the PS3 Game Backup area of this forum. But with all the information I gave you above, you should be well-equipped to tackle them all down from this day forward.
Also make sure to replace all the eboot files changes that were required to play on True Blue to be now the original eboot files of the game. Or else they will not work.
