Ok, I downloaded the TB CFW 3.55dongle v2 from their websites and still giving me the error " that i should be on v2 to upgrade to 2.5 ". Where else can i get the v2 CFW for TB? I also d/loaded the CFW v2 from the other sites and still the same error. What am i doing wrong here? Thanks....
It's a mistake by the TB team. The first 2.5 update says its 2.4 in the XMB system info. It still updated to 2.5 but will say 2.4 in the XMB system info. If you are worried about it just get the 2.5 update with 3d404e5728f730f588bc3d910ee24f42 checksum it'll say 2.5 info in system info (Crunching the Latest Scene News!) or use this linkQuote:

I assume you mean what it says in the changelog, that just basically means the games they released after 2.4. Those games prolly wouldnt work on 2.4 and lower like FIFA 12, Driver SF so 2.5 lets them workQuote:

Like i said it was a true blue mistake. If it doesnt install correctly then yeah use recovery mode, most PS3's should work via XMB update (except really old ones)Quote:

Basically install TB CFW v2 http://www.ps3crunch.net/forum/downl...tionhash=guest via XMB settings>system update. If it doesnt install correctly install it in recovery mode. (You shouldn't have the TB dongle in ps3 at all until it tells you to plug it in which wont be until you select True Blue Update v2.5 it'll tell you to insert dongle now make sure nothing else is plugged into USB ports at this time)
Then put v2.5 Crunching the Latest Scene News! on usb hard drive or usb thumb drive on XMB go to Game>Install Package Files>TrueBlueUpdate-2.5.pkg hit X on controller let it install. After install in XMB under Game>Unknown there will be a file called True Blue Update v2.5 (the pic next to it should read Dongle Update with a blue background) hit X to install that. It should tell you to plug in dongle (make sure nothing else is plugged into any USB's) follow on screen instructions machine should reboot into working CFW v2 v2.5 update.
Dongle light should turn faint green when XMB starts up after reboot. On XMB check Settings>System Settings>System Information
It should read, "Version 3.55, True Blue v2.5" (it wont specify v2 CFW but if it reads 2.5 you know you have v2 CFW because 2.5 wont work on v1 CFW)
everything went smoothly. I had a USB hub plugged in while
i was updating and it prevented me to update
all the way. pLus i redownloaded the files
