Only if CFW rebug for TB isn't up to date. There was an update recently by TB, so check to see who are in charge of creating CFW Rebug for TB to see if they are up-to-date.

However when I checked the system version it says "3.55 , true blue v2.51"!!!
    what do you think guys?
have anyone received it lately and found the same thing?

Thanks for the heads-up. Hopefully new information may come from TB soon about this.
I just got mine and it is "Version 3.55, True Blue v2.51" The green light comes on but it won't play any games or let me update the dongle with 2.4 or 2.5. This is my first dongle and would really appreciate any help on how to get it to work.

Give us more information about your PS3. What firmware are you using? Did you install the TB 3.55 CFW? What manager and version? What games? How experienced are you with playing backups on your PS3? What were you using before TB? Etc? And also KEEP IN MIND that games that are split on your external HDD are no longer supported in TB. You must copy them over to the internal HDD in order for them to play.

And why would you want to downgrade the dongle to a lesser version, since yours has the latest version!!?? (pulling my hair!!! lol)

Nope! Never happened. Are you using a USB hub?

Yes, I'd try that. Also make sure it's inserted all the way in. The Dongle itself is a bit heavy.. and perhaps it gets moved? You got anybody else that gets close to it? Cleaning? Dusting? Pets? Gremlins? Roaches?

On my PS3 Slim, I have a 5-way USB Hub connected on the far left (I'm facing the unit) and have the TB dongle inserted in one of the available slots in that hub and I used black electrical tape to make sure it was there to stay.

the new 2.51 True Blue dongle cannot be downgraded, so you have to make sure your using TB CFWv2 or your backups will not play correctly if at all, there is not a current up to date working version of REBUG for 2.5 or 2.51 (only 2.4, which I say again you cannot downgrade to) 2.51 is only on the new dongles and is not available for download!
