That's great zincmann, I'm glad you are getting it sorted out.

If you ever come across a game that you just can't get it working (and it's been reported by our sticky posts that it works), go ahead and ask, just don't start with the "I am 40 years old.. and blah blah blah" OK? I think that is what triggered me to respond the way I did to you, instead of just providing the information you needed.

And be sure to write down exactly all the steps you have done to try to make it work. We will help on the very difficult ones, but I will crucify you on the easy ones!

Try ripping with your dongle out or switching to KMEAW/Rebug to rip it. TB hates my copy of Final Fantasy XIII (a 3.15 game). I have the original disc and it refuses to load it from disc, I can't rip it on TB firmware. I have to switch to Rebug to rip it then switch back to TB so I can play normally with my other games. I'd just leave it after ripping, but it's 40 gigs and internal only. That's a lot of space on internal for a game I don't play often anymore

Used discs can have also tiny scratches to make it difficult to read.

Try copying it with multiMAN without the TB dongle.

    1. Turn off PS3.
    2. disconnect TB dongle.
    3. Turn on PS3
    4. Open multiMAN--yes, multiMAN will still open, just you can't load any games.. but you can copy them.
    5. insert Disc you want to copy.
    6. make multiMAN copy your disc--be weary if it doesn't have any 4GB+ files (best to copy it to the internal).
    7. after it copies...
    8. exit multiMAN
    9. Turn off PS3
    10. connect TB Dongle
    11. Turn on PS3
    12. do what you need to do if the game needs patches or any special settings..
    13. open multiMAN to launch game and etc...

Actually I was thinking the same thing I will give that another go round, I did read that the TB Dongle COULD cause some games to not rip correctly. I will get this I promise, stupid question to a minimum but again appreciate your expertise :-) And Janet Jacksons pic LOL

Am I flawed in thinking that pre-3.55 TB Dongle FW Games are NOT compatible with the TB Dongle? Or should they be as well, have read some users needed to switch back to kmeaw FW 3.55 bc of some games, Is that the exception or the rule?

If the pre-3.55 games worked great on Kmeaw or other custom firmware, then they should play fine on TB--so yes you are wrong in thinking that. Also keep in mind that there were a few games that did not work on pre-3.55--they were just never working for us on CFW.

Also keep in mind that TB doesn't support split 4GB+ games on external HDDs--they only work on internal HDD and BD-Mirror doesn't work on TB, so it's best to disable that feature in multiMAN.

P.S. Check your glasses mate, she is not Janet Jackson. She is J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez).
