Ok so before I get lambasted for asking the same questions let me tell u I'm 40 years old and a bit technically challenged when it comes to the new true blue dongle. First I have a ps3 phat 80 gb backwards compatible which had kmeaw 3.55 cfw my older games would load up just fine with an original disc. Obviously when the newere games came alongi.e. max Payne 3 or little big planet 2 they require the tb dongle which I purchased and is not a knockoff. So I updated the firmware to 3.55-dongle fw and it updated the dongle to 2.7 so as an acid test I downloaded the good copy of max Payne 3 and loaded it on my ps3 I also downloaded paradox eboot fix and patched it on the ps3 and also deleted any old max Payne data in the game folder. So I use the newest multiman to load the game and all I get is black screen and frozen system where I need to reboot the system. I am keeping my original ps3 disc in the drive when I do this, should I not be doing this?? I also rented max Payne 3 from red box and am going to rip it to the hdd I'm very frustrated any thoughts?

What do you mean by good release of Max Payne 3? Who released it?

You say 3.55 dongle fw - don't you mean version 2? Also, did you install Rebug Spoofer? That will cause errors with the spoofer in the 2.7 dongle update.

Have you tried any other game than Max Payne 3? It would help to know if it's a problem with your backup or with your TB

man this post screams piracy....psxscenes don't support piracy...on that note one thing i have to say is little big planet 2 doesn't need the dongle...3.50 fw version if i'm not mistaken

Ok so I did not install the rebug and I was referring to the cfw that is to be used for the tb dongle so it gets installed over my past 3.55 cfw. And I don't pirate if I like the game I buy it like I'm the case of gran turismo 5. I couldn't run the backup of little big planet through multiman before I bought the true blue dongle either just wonder if I have my settings wrong

Not everyone is cut out for this. We try our best to post tutorials here, and stick them in the top help section for True Blue discussions. Have you read them? And even though we jot down everything a "monkey" should do in order to orbit around the Earth and then touchdown back to the ocean and also learn to blow the hatchet so they can open the capsule. (Not saying you are as smart as a "monkey"--it's just a point I am making.) That no matter how extensive we give them the info, and also even sit there and tell them exactly what to do step-by-step, he'll need another "personal" session when he wants to fix another game and so forth.

This is why I say, everyone is not cut out for this.

Good story, I had setup my brother-in-law with some equipment. It was a bit on the technical side, but nothing too difficult to learn, but after a few sips of beer in his system, he was as balanced as an elephant walking a tight-rope. After so many phone calls and visits, I decided to give myself the biggest favor and that was just to pick up all the gear the last visit I gave him, and ever since I live peacefully and stress free! Oh, yeah he was upset, but more was because he had no more bragging rights to tell his beer buddies that he had the best system out there for his weekends. lol

zincman, if you still want to learn, read "carefully" all the tutorials and compatibility list for games for TrueBlue and also pre-3.56 games, so you know what types of modifications and what-nots you have to do in order to play a certain game that may require some special methods or setting adjustments. If not, then it will be a long long road for you that many of us, may not be willing to walk with you while holding your hand each and every time.

Oh, and please learn to break up your sentences by using paragraphs!

It sounds like you're running into bigger issues if you could never run Little Big Planet 1 or 2. They update past 3.55, but if after deleting the game data you still can't run them I'm thinking either bdemu2 was never installed when you were on kmeaw or you're having a hardware issue.

Jay-Jay's right about the many guides in the stickied topics in the forums. Read them and I bet your answer is in there

I did read some of the guides last night Bahumat and Jay-Jay I did install Uncharted 3 with no issues applied the patch and it works. I did install BDEMU I didnt know BDEMU2 existed that could be it I will try that next. AGain been away from the scene for a while and things have changed drastically I do appreciate your suggestions and will update you on my progress.

I think you need to read the TB guides again. It clearly says that BDEMU2 is no longer needed for TB Dongle--it's useless as TB uses it's own payload.

Plus BDEMU2 is no longer required to add to multiMAN latest versions (from 4.00.00+ and up).

So keep on studying "ALL" the sticky topics (top section on True Blue subforum). You should end up knowing everything we know about TB to be able to explain it to another person. OK?

    And just to clarify:

BDEMU or BDEMU2 was a payload required for multiMAN for CFW KMEAW during the early days of versions 3 and lower. No longer needed for multiMAN version 4 and above. And TB doesn't even accept this payload, so it's pointless.

BD Mirror is a different setting found in multiMAN Game Menu (for each game) where when enabled it would temporarily mirror some files from the game backup to another directory so it could emulate a BlueRay Disc--it was very common to use for External HDDs. This feature no longer is supported for True Blue. So it's best to not enable it. With TB loaded, the option should be grayed out in multiMAN Game Menu settings.

And how come I know so much? Because I sat there and read it all. The same information I am asking you to do so, this way, when a new game comes along, you'll know where to look for inside information, and when they talk the lingo, you'll know what they are talking about and know exactly what to do in order to get your games up and running. Cool?

Cool ;-) BTW I did end up renting Max Payne 3 from Red Box and Guess what ripped that version applied the TB Patch and away it went..works perfect so I think the answer to my issues is to NOT Download and rent instead..for $2 its an erstwhile investment. But i will read the manuals, being a 40 yr old father of two and a busy family life doesnt give me a lot of time for much else, hope you understand that, I am not lazy I did my share of reading back in the day but will revisit all of this as time permits.

Well you got lucky sometimes games ripped from disc on TB CFW wont work (True Blues fault), if you find a game you ripped from disc isnt working rip it with the dongle out.
