Problem with True Blue dongle and Final Fantasy XIII original disc
Problem with True Blue dongle and Final Fantasy XIII original disc –
Kind of a weird issue with True Blue. I've got the original disc of Final Fantasy XIII. I'm on True Blue 2.5 custom firmware. Before I went to True blue, I had a backup on my internal drive to keep from burning up my laser/motor. I deleted the backup to free some space temporarily. I didn't need the space anymore, so I backed the game up again. When I try to launch the backup or the disc it freezes at the Square Enix logo. I've installed the latest Rebug spoofer because I lost all my PSN activations when switching firmwares. I've tried deactivating the spoofer and get the same thing. All my other backups work fine. I popped the disc out and reinserted it and now my disc works but my backup doesn't. Anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Have you read the notes on this game from here: PS3 Backup Compatibility List - PSHomebrew
Perhaps that should help?
PS3: Slim 320GB / CFW KMEAW 3.55 / multiMAN v04.xx.xx / blackb0x FTP Server v1.2 3.55 w/ FlashFXP 4.2.x
PS2: SLIM & PHAT / FreeMcBOOT w/ESR & OPL 9-r651 / SMS w/PSClient v1.3.1
PSP: PHAT / 5.00 M33-6
I just looked at it - nothing new. I've had it backed up before with no problem and backed it up the same way. This was actually my first backup and have used it many times. The only difference between now and then is the TB. I just switched back to Rebug firmware, deleted the backup, and am making a new one now. Hopefully that will fix the problem and it will work when I switch back to TB firmware. I really don't want to keep switching firmwares to play different games and having to reinstall other stuff like the spoofer and XMMB manager. It's not really that big of a deal if I have to play from the disc I just didn't want to stress my BR drive if I didn't have to. You might have been right about Monkey Island, TB and FFXIII disc on the other thread. Did you ever get around to checking it?
