Pay close attention to your game XMB. On Kmeaw the Install Package Files icon was under the /app_home/PS3_GAME/ icon. Now with TB 3.55 CFW, they are switched around.

If you don't see these two icons. Then you haven't yet been successful in installing TB 3.55 CFW.

FYI, when I jumped to TB from kmeaw. I didn't have to do the recovery mode thing. I followed this tutorial:
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f265/%5B...s-video-99008/ ([TUTORIAL] Installing TB CFW over Kmeaw, Updating the TB dongle & Replacing Eboots (VIDEO))

And be sure to read the TB Faqs. Perhaps you are doing something wrong during the installation of the TB firmware:
    http://psx-scene.com/forums/f265/%5B...ue-blue-99012/

And also very important. The installation of the TB CFW and running the 2.4pkg that TB Dongle should not be plugged into your PS3--many noobs make this mistake. You are suppose to plug in when you run the 2.4 update once it's installed on your PS3 XMB Game column. When you run the application, it should tell you when to plug in the dongle. Be sure to unplug any other USB device before you proceed in connecting the TB dongle for the update.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to install through the xmb system update but it says a newer version of 3.55 is already installed. As for the install packages and the app_home icons, they're both not available. There can't be anything wrong with the way i'm installing because I have installed kmeaw cfw on a couple of ps3's with no problem. I have tried 2 seperate 3.55 tb cfw from 2 different sources and still the same problem. I am going to try and install the 3.55.2 rebug tb edition. Hope this works...

Before going another route and risking bigger problems, I would advise to carefully walk-through all your steps. Perhaps you are missing something, like a tiny step that you overlooked? follow the guides I linked above. They are the best you can find on how to go about doing this.

The process is relatively simple...or should be really simple...I don't know what I could be missing...Update with the UPDATE.PUP and everything should go smooth...The funny thing is that the games folder that is under the install packages is still there...with multiman and a few psn games. Just missing the install packages and app_home icons...This is weird...So the rebug cfw did the same thing...If I installed OFW and then TB CFW will my games folder content still be there? Like the multiman and psn games?

That was weird...but anyways I got the install icons back...After installing rebug tb over tb cfw, the install icons were still missing but I was allowed to install rebug tb over the rebug tb through the xmb system update which I was not allowed earlier with the tb cfw over tb cfw through the xmb system update.

The only thing I can think of why you had issues is that perhaps you didn't follow proper protocol when setting up your /PS3/UPDATE/ folder on your USB drive or perhaps the TB CFW was misspelled. But then again you have the phat PS3s and I've heard they sometimes give issues, as apposed to those of us with Slims.

I'm glad you were able to figure it out or at least fix it.

And no, you will never ever lose your multiMAN games if you install OFW 3.55. You won't be able to play with them, until you get a CFW 3.55 of some fashion. I did read some report that PSN games will run good on OFW 3.55.

Although you "figured it out" more than likely your system was OFW 3.55 in the system version info TB and OFW will say the same thing 3.55 (unless update 2.3 or 2.4 is installed) difference is if it's TB you'll have the install pkg files with OFW you will not, IDK what site you got TB CFW from but it seems it was OFW 3.55, In the future get a checksum calculator program and check known working checksums for CFW. Cause you may end up getting something that claims to be TB CFW for example and its 4.00 OFW. Of course you wouldnt know this unless you knew the checksum or after it was too late. Yes people will do this to be d*cks.

How can you run a pkg if its unplugged?...The install package thing would be gone because when unplugged it acts as official firmware.

No, that is not the case with me. If I boot up my PS3 without the TB dongle, I can still install a PKG, I just can't run any homebrew (i.e. multiMAN) except for PSN games. Those play fine.
