I missed that. I was trying to take a step back and come back with a cooler head. I was hoping that we just misunderstood each other. It happens. I don't keep track of his finances and don't really care. If he is getting paid since Cobra MM came about then good for him. As far as I'm concerned he can do whatever the hell he wants. He's earned it. He's contributed a massive amount to the rest of us. What exactly have you done for anybody???

Running your mouth about devs is not in your best interests. It is not tolerated here. I suggest that you find something else to do and come back when you have your head out of your ass.

This has seriously gotten off-topic. If anybody is able to test the information in the first post then please let us know one way or the other. It really amazes me how something as simple as "Hey can somebody check this" turns into a troll fest

Edit: open source in the PS3 Scene isn't what it's cracked up to be. Sure his manager "was" based on Open Manager. Besides what's there to bitch about it's still free to use and still gets updated on a regular bases

if this is confirmed and everyone get to play 4.xx and under games i see two scenarios:

1.-Sony patches the issue on a new OFw, TB stop working on their dongle/CFW/eboots since its already open source, lose the ability to play newer games.
2.-Sony patches the issue on a new OFW, TB start working again to provide customers access to 4.xx+1 FW games and find a way protect their info like they did up to now.

i like more the second scenario, they would stop caring for the dongle wars since it would be pointless, and start doing actual work, maybe promise eboot fixes for game updates, PSN content, etc, so they can still be on the market, scenario 1 would leave us on the same state it was before TB launched, and yes, it was always your choice to get the dongle or not, but at least games were/are playable, and in the end that is what matters, buying a clone is not a good idea for me, unless they do their own software.

I like the idea of getting the game updates cracked. A lot of them had new content/maps/items included. It's actually surprising that they haven't done anything with them

Hopefully,some devs out there can decipher these codes and bring us good news.If not ,I'm ok using the dongle for the meantime.Besides there are plenty of games to keep me occupied.

it would be cool to have people who cant afford the dongle to play newer games, but this is only possible while TB method is still a secret, you cant get everything you know?

All I meant by he's spanish is that because of that (in my opinion) he chose to affiliate himself with demonhades who is also spanish. I feel demonhades is holding him back. There was no racism or nationalism intended, just that when your main language is not the main one used in the scene your more likely to talk to those who speak the same language. Look at the fact that iranians have produced ps3 homebrew related stuff all without thier progress being reported before they released. It proves that in this day and age language is still a bit of a barrier

German does not equel nazi the fact that isreal's main european trading partner is germany says alot, add to that the fact that germany is open to increasing holocaust reperations and your aggument proves you just want to look at the negative when negative wasn't intended. truth is not negative it is fact.

If I was to pull the race card I would have on matheilth for acting like a true french snob who only wants war when germany invades but talks shit when the US saves other countries. BUT everyone can have a opinion, be anitwar but don't cling onto a national identity that only exists (french) because it was saved by war, one fought by the same country USA that is saving everyone else (iraq, afganastan, kosovo, kuwait, and thats just 1990+)

ok i got cygwin set up on this computer and ready to try and decrypt some eboots....(done tested on some 3.55 ones :) now my problem is how do u add the new keys to the .ps3 folder all the key files are labeled like app-iv-331 then it says type of file "file" how the heck do u make a file file

@wartutor - a "file file" is just a file without an extension. so it would be app-iv-331 instead of app-iv-331.xxx. I'm not sure how to apply this info into a constructive manor because I've never tried but I'd grab a hex editor and enter those strings that way. You'll have to make a new file and insert bytes until you get the whole string. You can use characters/numbers from 0-9 and A-F and they should convert to a useable format. You'll just have to get the names right as far as I know so the TB eboot can be decrypted. Let us know what you can come up with and thanks
