i see if i use psarc to extract i can play external.well on mu usb i deleted all the part.psarc file and ftp the whole file.
so far(still extracting) i have a feww folders.
what do i do about the psarc file? do i just replace the files that where extracted to appropiate folders? or did i still need the split main.psarc file.
i have looked but not much coverage.
    thanX in advance.

You put all the files on external (audio.psarc, textures.psarc, paradox eboot.bin, biogame folder, binaries folder from USRDIR folder etc) just like on internal basically all files from original backup except main.psarc.

After main.psarc is done extracting it should make a biogame folder with like 4300 files in it, including a movies folder etc. put all these files in the structure they're extracted as onto external (do not overwrite because the original bioware and binaries folder each have a .bin file inside them)drag and drop. It also makes another binaries folder with a save folder inside do the same thing as bioware folder. Your game size will be around 25GB. You no longer need the main.psarc file (unless you want it as backup or if you plan on playing internal, extracted main.psarc should also work on internal as well) You shouldnt have a main.psarc file on external as it wouldnt copy all the way anyway (4gb+) because it's 10GB

It takes like 3 hours to do all this but it works.

Thanx m8. Wasnt sure. It was half done when i left. So when i get home just drag and drop with no overwriting. Been a long say but i dont need main.psarc or the split ones right. Havent seen the new file format(extracted structure) get back to you guys.

WOW your werent kidding. 3 hours is right. had to little by little. i would lose my external hdd and have to do small amounts at a time.
would like to say thank you.

Working(well loaded thats all i had time for) thanX for all the help.

(if it helps cool if not o'well)
    1. open cmd(start panel/run/cmd)
2.drop psarc.exe in cmd window, then hit spacebar, type "extract" then drop the main.psarc into cmd
"POW" "right in the kisser. when done extracting it should be located in documents and settings, owner, biogame folder is what you want.
    as PatrickBatman stated"
    3. put all these files in the structure they're extracted as onto external (do not overwrite because the original bioware and binaries folder each have a .bin file inside them)drag and drop."

either keep main.psarc as backup or ditch it.

just like that. once again thanX
