Just got my TB and am trying to put the appropriate files on it from my mac. When I plug in the TB dongle an error of Low Power comes up asking me to either connect to power cord or other USB input. Tried on my macbook and desktop mac with same results. What can I do? Can I install the TB CFW w/ a different USB drive and then use the TB after? Also, when TB is plugged into PS3 nothing happens either. Multiman doesn't even show that a USB drive is plugged in.

Nevermind. I installed the TB CFW with my own USB drive. I thought for some reason you used the dongle to install. Obviously I'm new to the dongle game. I'll leave this post up though in case anyone else runs into the same problem. Install with your own USB, then after plug in dongle when prompted.

The dongle doesnt work with Mac or PC (JB-King does). You just get the TB 3.55 or Rebug 3.55.2 CFW and update from the net put on external HD or thumb drive, then plug that into ps3. install cfw and update v2.4 following instructions.

hehe! where did you get the idea that it required a computer to update the dongle?

Glad you figured it out. We got like a FAQ on this, and if you google, you'll find a few hundred sites listing how to do this correctly.
