3.55 with true blue ...will it play 3d games and dvds

hi ...will firmware 3.55 and true blue play 3d games and dvds.....i saw some posts stating later firmware enables 3d and other posts say 3.55 will enable 3d games with 3d tv/projector....
here is a post below that says 3.55 wont work........will it or wont it......thanks for any advice

Yes, firmware 3.55 plays 3D, the issue is that many new blu-ray movies have a firmware update within them (like new 3.56+ PS3 Games discs), that force you to upgrade in order to watch the movie. So be careful with original blu-ray movies.

I have a 3D TV and the games that were patched by TrueBlue and support 3D play fine on TB 3.55 CFW.

And I just use another blu-ray player to playback new BD movies--they never get to see my PS3.

Just for informational purposes. Sony introduced 3D support for games in 3.30 and 3D support for Blu-Ray movies in 3.50. What I find funny is that all 3D enabled games say that you need to install PS3 3.30 to use 3D mode even though the game won't run without installing a higher firmware to begin with. For example, the back of Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One tells you that you must install system software version 3.30 in order to play this game in 3D but the game won't normally run unless you install at least system software version 3.73 which is included on the disc so telling the user that s/he must install 3.30 to play this game in 3D is really pointless.

If you are not using any spoofing software on your CFW 3.55 than when you try to play that game, the game will tell you that you can't play the game unless you update your system software. This is because the game EBOOT.BIN is encrypted and 3.55 system software doesn't have the keys to decrypt it. Unless you are using the True Blue dongle (for now) you cannot play this game on 3.55 at all, even if you spoof your firmware.
