DON'T TRY THIS ON 3.56 or 3.60 !!

APPARENTLY WE CAN'T RESIGN THE LV2DIAG.SELF AND WE WON'T BE ABLE TO SO YOU WILL BE STUCK IN SERVICE MODE AND CAN'T GET OUT.

NOTE : Service mode is totally different from recovery mode.

Service mode requires a usb dongle to be inserted on startup and goes into xmb with a box saying service mode.
Recovery mode is a menu that comes up when you hold the power button

why posting a pseudo-tutorial if you're not even testing/tested it yourself?
or how did you came up with all those steps? did it work?

this is like asking people to jump of a cliff, just to see if it's a dangerous one.
btw, why are you on 3.56 already?

...now don't tell me you're not even on it but want to know from others if it's downgradable, by giving them your tutorial.

I didnt write the tutorial someone else wrote it. It is posted in this forum somewhere.

And no I am not on 3.56 . I am also no telling anyone to downgrade. It is up to them. Someone might want to try it , they will know the risks.

This is the tried and true way to downgrade from 3.55 to 3.41. There's a whole thread about it here: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f118/ser...working-74803/ We just need to know if it works on 3.56, so if someone accidentally updates, they may be able to downgrade again.

Edit: sorrowuk: You were the one that created the modified lv2diag.self, weren't you?

well "Just try this below" doesn't really sound like "they will know the risks".
you know how many noobs sniff around here. yes, exactly those who upgrade to 3.56 in the first place will "just try this", but a don't think they know the risks, or they wouldn't be on 3.56 already.
