SERVICE MODE DOWNGRADING - 3.55 [OUTDATED]

Hi, i downgraded following the steps from 3.55 to 3.41 but now when i go to install any other cfw or ofw 3.41 it will say "no applicable update data was found" this happens with in xmb and recovery mpde , in Service Mode it will keep flashing green without changing anything ,so any ideas to have 3.41 latest hermes or redebug installed on this system without keeping to get that message ? i even don't know if i can turn back to kmeaw again . . .

You have to downgrade using the original DGF.rar files now. That will get you on a 3.41 that you can upgrade to 3.55 or any other firmware.

You have to downgrade using the original DGF.rar files now. That will get you on a 3.41 that you can upgrade to 3.55 or any other firmware.

i am already on 3.41 (done by downgrading with the the procedure described in the original post from 3.55 ofw) but this got me in a non cfw 3.41 (no backup support),further more it wont let me install any other ofw or cfw even newer ones ,it says "no applicable update data was found" in xmb and recovery mode says that it need 3.56fw or newer ,while in factory mode it will not update with 3.41 any or 3.55 any!! in any way

this was not described in the guide in the first post!! any help?

As we learned recently, movie playback Blu-ray after having downgraded its PS3 is impossible, this is the firmware 3.41 must have changed. In fact it contains a bug that the developers trying to correct.

To avoid this, the method is simple, downgraded your console firmware 2.10 or below, the procedure is the same except that the 2.10 firmware does not change so official. After that you just install via the XMB firmware 3.41 unmodified retail you can easily find on the Internet, as well as for 2.10.

Do not take a firmware above 2.10 because you squeeze forced to change the HDD temporarily (to be upgraded in laps3 3.41) because the console hangs when retrieving data.

This test was performed on a 60GB model so for those who want to try on a different model than it is at your own risk.

well we do know that if you downgrade a ps3 to a lower fw than it originally came with you will get a brick. it would work on older sys like mine or your 60 gig, but people just need to remember to backup devflash3 and there are NO PROBLEMS.

sewershark, you dont need a cfw 3.41. ofw will work with a dongle. even the 3.41(three. five six) works, i have tested with e3 card

Yeah, but you can only do that if it was jailbroken before upgrading to 3.50/55

i have a phat ps3 fw3.55 it was 3.41 because i downgrade it from 3.50 with e3 card reader. After that i upgrade it at 3.55 from internet to see if the downgrade works, and i entered service mode(e3 downgrader fix bd beta) with and i can;t exit. I tried all that i know. next step will be to put update.pup and lv2 diag file 1 to downgrade it but i put the usb in and the ps3 boots up in service mode without loading the files . I tried the lv2 diag file 2 to exit but no luck the same thing it boot's up in service mode.. Can someone help? Pls and no 'google it 'because i was searchin google all night and i did not find nothing about this.How i can find with what fw my ps3 came from factory?
