it kinda reset to default a little and my main user was found as "User 1" and the other users were fine, but otherwise working so far. going to try to force the update but might have to use recovery mode coz xmb never worked for me

I'll try 3.15 in a bit. right now I'm force reflashing 3.55 OFW via recovery mode to flush out any custom firmware.

Can somebody send me sorrowuk's self file? I'd like to look at it, and throw it at my bricked console.

So far, it looks like people have tried it on 3.41, 3.50 and the CFW 3.55 (really 3.41), which doesn't confirm anything.

If it generates a log file under OFW 3.55, great. make sure the log was erased before trying ti.

My saves survived actually. No matter, i have them all backed up on usb, except those my retarded devs with copy prohibited.

Ouch, ever since the jb was introduced I bought myself 1tb external dedicated only and only to my ps3. The ps3 backup feature works great as it backs up everything even those copy protected saves.

I'm sorry you had to lose everything, as long as demon souls wasn't among those games.

Ok here is the working lv2diag.self for 3.55 to flash firmware.

Download - Lv2diag_355.zip

People can try it with lots of different firmwares if they want, official, debug, etc see if any work.
I don't think any will brick. If anything goes wrong, just use it with official 3.55 and you will be back working again.

And btw this wasn't made with makeself, makeself still doesnt work
