SERVICE MODE DOWNGRADING - 3.55 [OUTDATED]

I'm not really capable of doing the leg work, not to be rude math. I'm just willing to be a guinea pig and test if someone comes up with some way to downgrade. I paid like 30 bucks for a chip waited a month for it, jailbroke my ps3 and got to use it like twice before my wife updated. *sigh* I'm not too lazy to figure it out, just disabled and all this technical file modding is a bit too much for me to be able to do as I have some pretty serious cognitive dysfunctions (i.e easy confusion and forgetfulness bad short term memory eyc;etc). Thanks for the heads up for what needs to be changed for this to work though...hopefully someone will take the time to implement it. Also, really appreciate all your work on the scene, it's devs like you that are really making headway in all this noob chaos.

Our baby sitter updated my last working jtagged x360's ...I was so pissed of.

Download the lv2self file and apply it yourself mate, just be aware the chance of bricking is there. It DOES work, just not every time. Or every 10th time it would seem.

i read the entire thread...i could not find a single post that stated a ps3 with 3.55 was sucessfully downgraded to 3.41.

I agree, the title is misleading.
I don't remember seeing a successful downgrade post here either.
What this thread is really about is a modified lv2diag.self that partially works on 3.55. The original file will simply exit to xmb (i believe) whilst this one will initiate the downgrade process, but stop when it gets to coreos, leaving a soft-brick in the process. You should know that this will not and will likely never work on a ps3 that was on 3.50 or higher from factory, this may never be possible.
What is needed to complete this is a modified firmware to downgrade to, or "upgrade" to.

THIS HAS WORKED FOR ME AFTER BRICKING

ONLY IF YOU ALREADY USE SERVICE MODE TO BRICK: THIS WORK WITH OR WITH OUT VIDEO AND JUST USE THE FILE2 LV2DIAG TO GO BACK TO OFW 3.55 USING THE RECOVER HOLD BUTTON TWICE TO LOAD FIRM THEN U CAN GO TO GEOHOTS JB IF ALREADY GEO HOTS JAIL BREAKER THEN U DONT HAVE TO DO ANY THING.

AS FAR AS I KNOW INORDER TO GO BACK TO 3.41 U NEED A DEVICE LIKE INFECTUS OR (SONYS NANO PROGRAMMER) THAT CLEANS AND REFLASHES THE FIRMWEAR.
