I did. And I couldn't copy it.
Is there? So I guess I can install Sak_v1.00.
Do you know a good tutorial to install OtherOS++ on Ps3ita 3.55 CFW
Can you confirm it to me?
Thanks for the help

Some links are not working. I'm using Ps3ita 3.55 CFW is there a chance for getting a brick if I do it?

PS3:OtherOS++ - Wikibrew
PS3ITA cfw won't work, you need an OOS++ enabled firmware.
As for brick chance, I'd say none on a NOR console (CECHH fat to current slims) and low on CECHA-CECHG NAND FATs if you follow the tutorial.
EDIT : As for dead links, gitbrew server is currently down it seems, you'll have to wait until it is back up. Sorry.
I think i just bricked my PS3 CECHC04 first gen (Backwards compatible one).
I Put the 1.02 official firmware on a stick, and when i tried to install the firmware to see what was the lowest firmware i could go, the PS3 started preparing the update rebooted and now i have a blue screen. The PS3 wont boot. Cant get in to Recovery mode eighter i hear the 2 beeps and still get a blue screen.
And i cant get into service mode since there's no Blu ray inside.
Um, this is really weird.
Did you try to install from XMB or recovery?
EDIT :
Sorry man but you gotta read a bit more carefully :( You had to cancel the update via XMB if it tried to install it.
However... Even though a CECHC shouldn't accept a firmware 1.02 AFAIK, it shouldn't lead to something like this.
If I got it right, the PS3 started preparing the update (copying files to the HDD), and when rebooting, you had the blue screen instead of the System Update screen right? Which means it shouldn't have begun to install.
Blue screen could mean HDD issue, you could try turning the PS3 off via power switch for a few mins, swapping the HDD for a spare one and see if it works.
Also, did you have Petitboot installed on the PS3?
Only NOR (the ones with 2 USB ports) consoles freeze to the point it does not show anything on the screen if the HDD is bad.
The old NAND ones can even show the XMB without a harddrive while on factory mode.
The point is that the pup that checks the minimum version is dangerous because the person who made it "pulled an Waninkoko". (Didn't think of all possibilities of use it has and all flaws that relate to it.)
Um, it's not a PUP that checks minimum version, we just use it that way. It's the official Sony 1.02 OFW. Each PS3 has a syscon value (not sure if it's syscon, but you get the idea) that translates to the minimum version allowed to be installed on this PS3. The problem here would be not only that th CECHC, which I don't think should accept a 1.02 FW (1.02 should install only on CECHA or CECHB), not only accepted it (meaning Sony didn't set the correct minimum version value on those models), but crashes when trying to bring up the system update screen (which means his PS3 did not even start installing the firmware, it only copied the PUP onto the HDD and set the update flag). Maybe it actually does blue screen because it refuses to install the firmware, but I don't know why the PS3 accepted it in the first place. During my tests, I found out that neither XMB (gives error saying which is the min applicable version) nor recovery (gives update data damaged error) will accept a PUP of a version lower than the min applicable version.
Anyway, the thing here is that if i get it right, he gets blue screen when the PS3 checks for the firmware on the HDD since the update flag is on, but fails to read it or something. So I'd say it's worth a try.
EDIT : Also, what does the fact you have no blu-ray drive have to do with service mode? o.O
Im now repairing a YLOD PS3 when its done im going to format the harddrive with that PS3 and hope it works but i dont think so :)
Yea i dont really understand how this happened :S The first time i did it i just got a error, but it didnt show me what the lowest firmware was. But the second time it just started installing. I hope its not a full brick, but still i wouldnt care to mutch :p
Is the blue screen known as a symptome of a full brick or... ?
