    Hi all

Not sure this is the right section for this, apologies to the MODS if its not..
I bought a new Ps3 last week with out even cheking in to the secn before i did it,...............STUPID i know

Any case i am now sitting with a New PS3 4.21. I know i cannot Downgrade the Firmware to 3.55 with out adding to the hardware (witch i don't want to do) and from what i have found all over Google there is no way of coping games or backing game up or any thing other than what SONY originally intended us to use the hardware for.

So my Question Is am i looking in the wrong places? Are there any software mods actually out there for this version 4.21 to do any thing at all ???

OR am i stuck buying overly priced games from the store or buying & downloading from PSN store only ??????????

I want to make this hardware mine and so far looks like it will belong to SONY ONLY !!!!!!

Thanks in advance for your thoughts/advice

Sorry, there's nothing you can do to modify your console. The last time there was a flaw discovered that allowed custom firmware was January 2011. There has been no news for jailbreaking anything above 3.55 since then.

If you just bought a new PS3 from the store, then you don't even have the option to downgrade with a hardware flasher. You can only downgrade down to the firmware that came with the system.

If I were you, I'd return your PS3 and look for hacked/hackable PS3 on the buy/sell/trade section of this site, or look on eBay for a 3.55 system.

    Good Luck.

Buy your games used off of amazon and make someone happy

    You can easily return them.
